October's art.

Khaplu is a valley up in north of Pakistan's Gilgit Baltistan Region. Known for its lovely autumn and sweet people. Khaplu is about 90KM from Skardu and a gateway to other interesting places like Hushe and Saltoro Siachin. Khaplu is also called mini Tibet which is evident from architectural heritage of region along with remains of Buddhist history.

You can find neat and clean hotels at very reasonable prices, people of Khaplu are expert chefs, men from region are often employed as chefs in big cities. I always admire their interest in education, i noticed kids are often confident and well spoken. Immaculate use of traditional agricultural practices to grow potatoes and wheat is also something interesting.

Trekking trip with Yahya and Zaha, they absolutely enjoyed walking from Donga Gali to Ayubia and Back which is approx 8km walk. Next day we went to Abbotabad and Thandiani, which was just a driving test.

The small wooden bridge suspended over the rocky river in the Karakorum mountains is a sight to behold. As people cross the bridge, they are surrounded by the rugged beauty of the rocky terrain. The sound of the rushing water echoes through the valley, filling the air with a sense of energy and excitement. The bridge itself is a marvel of engineering, with its thin wooden planks creaking and swaying underfoot. Crossing it requires a certain amount of bravery and fortitude, but the reward is worth it: the chance to experience the raw, unbridled beauty of the Karakorum mountains up close and personal.

Hushe village is a door to some of the exotic mountains and glacier with extreme weather condition and very tough daily life of inhabitants. While on my way to the village, i requested many children for a photograph and only boys comfortably posed for picture until i saw this girl and her sibling emerging from street, i pointed my camera and she paused for a moment i snapped around 5 or 6 clicks and tried to approach her, she fled instantly with no second chance of second photo. While reviewing picture, i realized she was carrying a key around her neck, which compelled me to search for a term used for kids carrying a key, realized its a social topic which i never thought about it.
