Our next woman entrepreneur spotlight for 2023 is Romana Rafi, a computer engineer and the second runner-up in the U.S.-Pakistan Women’s Council’s Paklaunch.com Accelerator pitch competition.

Romana turned her passion for computer science into an Ed-Tech startup that makes STEM education accessible for children in grades 1 through 8. Romana’s business, Technoknowledge (Pvt Ltd), provides curricula on computer science, information technology, and STEM, along with books and teacher training on how to incorporate such subjects into primary education. Romana learned how to build a business from the ground up by observing the entrepreneurs around her, certain she would own a business one day.

Her primary motivation was to equip young children with a strong foundation in STEM, particularly computer technology, to make them successful in emerging technology fields. Romana Rafi is an inspiring example of how women are revolutionizing STEM.
