We are proud to announce that this year our student from batch 10 Dr. Syed Akbar Abbas Zaidi presented his case and received the fellowship from Malaysian Orthodontic Practitioner Association (MOPA).

This time, Dr Akbar presented his case online and the panel of judges were impressed and his case was accepted for Fellowship.

We, the team of Irfan's Institute of Clinical Orthodontics (IIOCO) extend our hearty congratulations to Dr Akbar on successfully presenting his case and getting the Fellowship. We wish him best for his future endeavors.

When face doesn't allow premolar extractions. Then how would you treat 10mm overjet in patient will all permanent dentition.
My choice is FORSUS fixed functional appliance

A patient presented with the complain of developmental groove in his anterior teeth. This can be enamel hypoplasia which is enamel defect characterized by thin or absent enamel. We treated this lesion with composite resin. This improved the aesthetics of the teeth and let patient regain his confidence.

Orthodontic is not always about esthetics. Severe crowding makes it difficult to brush and causes gums problem. Furthermore teeth should remain in alveolar house otherwise teeth out of alveolar bone (proclined) are subjected to lateral forces further deteriorate periodontal health
Severe crowding occurs when there is simply not enough room within the jaw for all of the teeth to fit normally. When left untreated, overly crowded teeth can get worse overtime and result in severely crooked teeth.
