With Ramadan knocking at our doors, it brings us the difficultly of losing weight.
Fasting for 30 days can be challenging and it can be very tempting to avoid your fitness and health goals however it’s very possible to get through it with weight loss while remaining fit and healthy with appropriate planning of a proper diet, sustenance and exercise.
Here are few tips:
1) If the goal is to lose weight then you should be in a calorie deficit.
2)To calculate the required calories you need per day is: (Current weight in lbs) x 14 = Calories to be maintained)
Calories to be maintained - (400 or 500) = calorie deficit ( Amount of calories needed to lose weight).
The calorie deficit you obtain is then divided into three meals.
SEHRI:
This meal should be the healthiest and high fiber meal with approximately 600-700 calorie intake. This will provide the desired energy one needs to get through the day.
IFTAR:
This meal should be the lightest meal of the day. However, it’s better to divide it into two portions that add up to approximately 300-400 calories.
Portion 01
Any healthy drink.
Portion 02
Any fruit or combination of fruits.
DINNER:
This should meal should be a balance between the other two meals and the ideal time for dinner is 10 PM.
For this you need a high protein light meal (for eg: chicken, fish etc)
EXERCISE:
To avoid putting your exercise regime on hold and to release body stress due to fasting during Ramadan,one can exercise 30 minutes after the iftar.
Apart from the diet control it’s very important to stay hydrated. If your goal is fat loss then water intake plays key role in it because staying hydrated helps the liver to metabolise fat faster and also helps in the function of the brain and body.

I’m sure this peanut butter sells very well though, because people will see the gigantic PROTEIN in big bold letters and buy it without thinking twice.
I’m all for high-protein products. I mean, I try ‘em and review them on my page all the time.
If you can successfully create a higher protein version of something, I think that’s awesome. But this trend of companies releasing misleading “protein” products drives me nuts. Pun intended.
