PM Imran launches Hunarmand Jawan programme for 'emancipation of youth'

' ' programme

The Hunarmand Jawan programme will be carried out in the next four years at a cost of Rs30 billion and will facilitate youth through easy loans, professional capacity-building, start-ups and internships.

Chairing a pre-launch meeting of the programme, the prime minister had termed youth an asset of nation and said the programme would help the youth of the country to get better job opportunities and contribute towards national development.

In the first phase, around 170,000 youth will be given professional skill-based training, of which 50,000 will be trained in areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud computing and other advanced areas of technology.

Similarly, 50,000 youth will be given training at Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority in conventional areas including auto-mechanics, plumbing etc., whereas 20,000 youth will be given apprenticeship.

Around 75 smart class rooms will be set up to ensure easy access to skill and professional education besides provision of such training at 70 Madaris. Five Centres of Excellence will also be established under the programme in collaboration with friendly countries.

Important Update for this Week

In observation of , the PIAIC Batch 1 (quarter 2) classes are being cancelled on Sunday October 20th, 2019, only due to logistical challenges at locations of such classes.

All educational institutes across Sindh will remain closed on July 30 because of heavy rain.

The government made the decision after rain wreaked havoc on Monday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that this rain system entered Sindh from India’s Rajasthan.

The education ministry issued a notification saying that all private and government schools and colleges will remain closed tomorrow.

1. You must have your attested student ID card to be allowed entry into the Auditorium.

2. Please note that your reporting time is 30 minutes prior to the start of class.

3. Please be punctual in following this policy as there are strict security measures at the Bahria Auditorium.

4. Late comers may not be allowed entry.
Smoking, Chewing Betel Leaves, or any other food and drink are not allowed inside the auditorium. A bottle of water is ok.
Please be on your best behavior. Anyone found to be misbehaving will be sent out of the Bahria Auditorium by the On Duty Naval Security Staff

5. If you'll be riding a motorcycle to the Auditorium, please make sure to wear a helmet.

On Sunday, July 14th, PIAIC will launch classes at the Bahria Auditorium in Karachi.

Please note that if you were selected in Round 1 and have still not submitted your fees, your seats will be forfeited to those students selected in Round 2.
