KaamyabPakistan provides a vision to invent and innovate to create a vision for new jobs creation using invention, innovation and dedication.
I was born in 1956 in Karachi, and started reading newspapers in 1963. I was very aware of all events going on in our society. I saw the movement against Ayub Khan and the claims made by people that the prices of everything will go down and things will get better. Well we lost half our country and prices went up like crazy. Zulfiqar Bhutto came in and nationalized everything. Things were supposed
to improve, but, history tells us a different story. They claimed that if Bhutto went away, everything will improve and things will be cheap and all that stuff that is given to people. They got rid of Bhutto and Zia came in with another set of promises. I do not want to keep going on and on, but, in 2010 I realized that we as Pakistanis or Muslims in general tend to leave the matters to luck and fate and never work hard to change their destiny. As I explored the nations who have become successful, one thing dawned on me. Early Muslims were successful because they trusted Allah and worked hard and invented and became pioneers in several areas and thus ruled the large part for centuries. British or Europeans became successful because they mastered shipping and they were adventurous and enterprising and they surged forward after James Watt invented the steam engine and factories of all sorts were created by British. It was their inventions that kept them as a world leader for centuries. America built its foundations on technology and 20th century belonged to them as all the inventions in this century were made in USA. They created system and sciences and technologies that were not there before and thus they rule the world now in innovation. Rest of the world had just followed or copied them to follow that track. What struck me is the idea that the fate of the 3rd world will not change because there are none who work on the problems faced by them. Unless a group of people worked on them, there would be no major improvement but the general growth that we see now. This prompted me to work for a year to research and I came with a list of project ideas that would provide new ways of thinking and challenging issues. I came up with a list of more than 500 project ideas that would change the future for countries where people cannot live forever to see a change. I created Center for Strategic Economic Development (CFSED) to put the ideas forth. As a test case since I am from Pakistan, I thought that it would be good to formulate the ideas for Pakistan. Since the theme is to create Work or Kaam, I called it KaamyabPakistan. I got the www.cfsed.com and the www.KaamyabPakistan.com developed. My thought was that if there are 500 projects and each project required resources to do a proof of concept, then there would be rapid progress. I talked to a lot of people and gave them presentations. The result was that most people do not think that anything is doable. They cannot even find the time to listen to the ideas. My core idea was that if $1000 can change the life of a family where they start making a $1000 per year that will be a big reward. Since a family comprises typically 5 people, thus you can change the life of 5 people by doing that. I will be elaborating this further. The general response is that where would the money come from. Believe me, there is lot of money that gets wasted. The money given in Zakat, to NGOs, Benazir income support scheme, government development projects, all the Microfinance banks. There are like thousands of billions of rupees that are there for ideas, but no ideas exist that can attend them wisely with meaningful benefits. After a lot of tries, I realized that I am answerable to Allah for my actions. I decided to start my work with Allah’s help and thought that if Allah holds my hand, regardless of everything there will be success, so I can say that at least I tried my level best. I looked at all the projects and I decided that the core foundation for everything today is energy and I thought that creating Energy Saving Products will provide a lot of value in cities and rural areas as we are totally crippled by this energy crisis. What we started in 2013 as Greenertronics (Green Energy & Electronics www.greenertronics.com and www.youtube.com/greenertronics ) took a lot of effort, and a team of dedicated people has brought the whole idea to a point where we have created energy saving products in production. These products on average save 75% power and in some cases came down to 90% power savings. My idea was to work on initial products that provide light, air and water in an economical manner. This led me to LED Bulbs, Energy Saving fans and Motors for water pumps. These products were designed and built in Pakistan with the latest Microprocessor based technology and we tested them and improved for the past 4 years. In the past year, we have devised more powerful energy saving motors and tested them on Air Compressors, Electric Drills, Sewing Machines, Metal Cutters and Lathe Machines that use a 2 HP motor. In all cases the power savings were in the 70% range. Recently we tested our latest designs on Power Looms and the initial progress is very encouraging. In all it is a journey to use technology and enterprising project ideas to change our destiny with Allah’s help. I am sure, Insha’Allah that the CFSED and KaamyabPakistan projects will continue and they will allow us to help the people who need that help. This is probably too long a story but it will help you understand where the journey is leading to.
