میں نے حرم شریف میں دنیا کے پہلے مظلوم اور مستقیم آدمی سے لے کر فلسطینیوں تک، سب کے لیے دعا کی۔ اور رونا مجھے اپنی ضلالت اور بے بسی پر آتا تھا کہ میں اگر کربلا کے سن ہجری میں ہوتا، تو اپنے گھر میں پڑا کلپتا رہتا۔ مجھ میں اتنی استقامت بھی نہ ہوتی کہ جلانے کی لکڑی کھینچ کر ہی ظالموں کے سامنے جا کھڑا ہوتا اور گھوڑوں تلے روند دیا جاتا‘‘۔ کہنے لگا، ’’دیکھ لو میں یاسر عرفات کے سن ہجری میں ہوں اور سوائے گالیاں بکنے اور دعائیں مانگنے کے کچھ نہیں کر سکتا۔ میں تو کسی جارح ٹینک کے سامنے جا کھڑا ہونے کی ہمت نہیں رکھتا۔ مجھے گھڑ گھڑاتی ہوئی لوہے کی اس پٹی سے خوف آتا ہے جو لمحے بھر میں قیمہ بنا دیتی ہے۔ مگر میں ضمیر کی اس گھڑگھڑاتی ہوئی آواز سے بھی قیمہ ہوا جاتا ہوں جو ہم میں اکثر کو سنائی دے رہی ہے‘‘۔ اور آخری بات اس نے مجھ سے یہ کہی کہ بھائی!میں بھی اور تم بھی؛ اور ہم سب، اصل میں اپنی مصلحت اور منافقت کے کوفے میں آباد ہیں اور حق کے لیے جنگ کرنے والی کسی مستقیم Entity سے آنکھ نہیں ملا سکتے، خواہ وہ استقامت کی سب سے بڑی علامت حسینؑ ہوں یا ہم عصر تاریخ کے فلسطینی۔
