Founder of Phool Patti, a social enterprise promoting Truck Art, Ali Salman Anchan believes that travelling helps one look past our prejudices about others. Recounting his experiences of working and exhibiting around the world, he thinks Pakistanis too will eventually evolve with how they perceive people and learn to not discriminate on the basis of who they are or where they come from, but solely on their work.

The talented team of Phool Patti showcased First Pakistani Truck Art Exhibition in China The team of Phool Patti, led by founder and creator Ali Salman Anchan, and his team members including lead artist Mumtaz Ahmad ,truck artists Muhammad Amin and Muhammad Gulriaz reached China upon the invitation of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of P

Pakistan's renowned truck art organization, Phool Patti, has made history by presenting The First Exhibition of Pakistani Truck Art in China. The exhibition was part of the "China-Pakistan Tourism Exchange Year" and was curated by Yang Zhi Yang Hui in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in China. Phool Patti's founder, Ali Salman Anchan, and his team, including lead artist Mumtaz Ahmad and truck artists Muhammad Amin and Muhammad Gulriaz, showcased different derivative forms of truck art, combining traditional and modern materials and technologies.

Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to see the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and bold calligraphy that are characteristic of Pakistani truck art. These designs often feature images of flowers, animals, landscapes, and religious symbols. The artists also conducted live mural painting and workshops to demonstrate their skills.

Apart from showcasing the beauty of truck art, the exhibition explored its cultural and social significance. It highlighted the role of truck art in Pakistani society and how it reflects the country's history, traditions, and values. The exhibition also examined how truck art is evolving and adapting to new contexts such as urban architecture and contemporary art.

The exhibition was a tremendous success, generating a lot of interest and enthusiasm from visitors and media outlets. It received widespread praise for its innovative approach to showcasing Pakistani art and culture. Such events demonstrate our artists commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding and celebrating the diversity of our world and bridge gaps between communities worldwide and showcase Pakistan's rich and vibrant cultural heritage.

The team of Phool Patti, led by founder and creative director Ali Salman Anchan, and his team members including lead artist Mumtaz Ahmad and truck artists Muhammad Amin and Muhammad Gulriaz reached China upon the invitation of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Beijing, Silk Road International Arts Center- one of the leading art centers in the world. and his team participated in the exhibition with an aim of introducing Chinese audience with the vibrant and colorful of Pakistan.

Interestingly, is leading the debut Truck Art exhibition ,for the first time ever organized in a museum.

The exhibition was organized as a part of the “China-Pakistan Tourism Exchange Year”. It was co-organized by: Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Beijing , Silk Road International Arts Center and Curated by Yang Zhi Yang Hui.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin-ul-Haque deserves a special mention for offering valuable support in bringing Pakistan’s Truck Art to China.

The exhibition simultaneously presented works in different derivative forms of truck art, including isometric restoration of trucks, various vehicles, daily necessities, live murals and others, fully combining traditional and , modern materials and technologies, multimedia highlighting the characteristics and creativity of truck art. It also highlighted the characteristics and diversity of truck art, reflecting the charm of Pakistan’s traditional culture. There are also a series of extended activities including live painting performances, workshops and lectures.


The was divided into five sections, “The Home Away From Home: A Unique Mobile Art Museum”, “From Traditional Transportation to Cultural Symbol: The Evolution of Pakistani Truck Art”, “The Inheritance of Truck Art: Architecture and Urban Landscape”, “The Intersection of Aesthetics and Functionality: A Translatable Art and Design System” and “New Perspective: Mapping the Truck Art in Multidimensional Space”. Each section explores the presentation of truck art in diverse artistic forms and contexts.

Phool Patti, Pakistan’s leading Truck Art organization has always been committed to bridging gaps between different communities around the world and facilitating people-to-people and cultural exchanges all over the world. The organization since its inception has made widespread contribution in introducing different communities across continents with the Pakistan’s native Truck Art- an effort to show a world peaceful, progressive and a vibrant Pakistan.
