On his return back to Pakistan, he started his career as a Consulting Engineer by establishing his own firm by the name of Associated Technical Consultants (ATCONS) in 1979. He also served for 3 years (2013-2015) as Chancellor of SSUET . His contribution and involvement in research projects catering to renewable energy especially the local design and fabrication of Bio Diesel Production Plant is revolutionary.
