RIPS pharmaceutical guest lecture series:
The field of pharmaceutical technology take more interest for the researchers specially in developing targeted approaches for drug delivery system. Based on these updated techniques, the educational & informative session was arranged by Ms Badarqa tul Ayesha, Sr. Lecturer RIPS. The Lecture on Comparison of Passive and Active Targeting using Nanoparticles as a Drug Delivery System was conducted by the esteemed guest ,Dr. Maryam Shabbir, Assistant Professor, University of Lahore.
She explained the advancements in drug delivery systems and particularly focussed on the use of nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery. She elaborate the need of Nanoparticles DDS alongwith its latest techniques and approaches in the field of pharmaceutics. She emphasied on the use of modified drug delivery over the conventional drug delivery system. The limitations of these advanced techniques were also discussed in the lecture.The lecture session concluded with an interactive QA session and token of appreciation from RIPS.

🔬💊✨ Insights into Pharmaceutical Analysis via GC-MS: An Unmissable Talk! ✨💊🔬

We had the privilege of hosting an exceptional scientific talk by Ms. Saman Sarfraz, esteemed lecturer of pharmaceutical chemistry at Akhtar Saeed College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her talk delved deep into the analysis of pharmaceutical agents using GC-MS, covering key aspects such as methodology, instrumentation, and data interpretation for identification and qualification. The applications of GC-MS in the analysis of pharmaceutical compounds were also thoroughly explored, offering invaluable knowledge for researchers and professionals in the field. We extend our gratitude to Ms. Saman for an enlightening and thought-provoking presentation.

Another yet exhilarating RIPS guest lecture series on "Pharmaceutical care plan and online pharmaceutical services and globalization" by our esteemed guest speaker Ms Ayesha Tariq,Mphil PhD scholar and incharge clinical Pharmacist at Ghurki trust and teaching hospital. The session was organized by Ms. Zunairah Akbar gave an insight to our students on hospital pharmacy and taught us the use of software that keeps different hospital departments interrconnected for quicker, efficienct and improved patient compliance.

Pharmaceutical Guest Lecture Series:
RIPS organized an informative session on the topic entitiled an overview of pharmaceutical industry by our guest, Dr Ghulam Dastagir Rana, Deputy Manager Production, Horizon Healthcare(Pvt) Ltd, Lahore. Ms Maria Rana, Sr. Lecture RIPS, arranged this session for 8th semester students. This session comprised the wholesome information about the sequential industrial departments which are interconnected for the production, validation, approval & market for the product(complete dosage form) manufacturing in pharmaceutical industries. He critically emphasised on the role & responsibilities of the pharmacist which is the building block in any pharmaceutical industries for its better & reputed product manufacturing. The session concluded with the token of appreciation to our guest speaker.

Pharmaceutical Guest lecture series:
RIPS organized an informative lecture on the topic of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology by our Guest speaker Dr Saad Tahir, a competent research officer & Lecturer from Punjab University CEMB department. Mam Badarqa tul Ayesha, Sr. Lecturer RIPS, organized this lecture for final semester students. The session depicts the role of genetic engineering in the production of biological products using various techniques employed in biotechnology field. He also highlight its importance in modern-day applications and its significant role in advancements of genetic engineering for treating genetic disorders.The session was concluded on the note of pharmacist role and his capabilities full of knowledge empowered with skills only could play a vital role in the production of biopharmaceutical products.A token of appreciation from RIPS was given to the honorable guest in the end.

It is an honor to introduce the esteemed guest and researcher, Professor Dr. Saeed R.Khan, Emeritus Professor, at the Department of Pathology and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Urology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, USA.
Professor Khan's distinguished career spans several decades, during which he has made significant contributions to the field of urology with focus on Urolithiasis.

Graduated from Agra, Peshawar and Florida universities. Postdoc in Australia.
Went to US on a Fulbright fellowship. Returned to the University of Florida as a post-doc, went through assistant, associate and finally professor.
Professor Khan has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including
• Honorary Award, “In Recognition of His Outstanding Lifetime Contributions to the Field of Urolithiasis Research”
• received the University of Florida, College of Medicine, Lifetime Achievement Award, “In Recognition of An Extraordinary Academic Career of Leadership, Teaching, Research and Discovery.
• awarded the “Unbreakable” Lifetime Achievement award by The American Urological Association, Inc. and the R.O.C.K. Society, “In Recognition of his Devotion to Kidney Stone Disease through Nucleation of Brilliant Crystal Ideas, Retention for Years within the Kidney Stone Field, and Aggregation of Others with Like Minds…’’

Delivered a talk on the Pathophysiology of Idiopathic Calcium Oxalate Kidney Stones,to Postgraduate student and Postgraduare Faculty.

RIPS organized a lecture held up by Guest speaker Mr. Fakhar Hayat, General Manager of Axis Pharmaceuticals.The informative and knowledgeable session was about the chromatographic techniques Throughout the amazingly oration,the students were able to interact and learn about the chromatography with special reference to HPLC And its instrumentation,their limitation,industrial pharmaceutical and defects that might be encountered while using the instrument.The session was concluded by presenting a token of appreciation to our guest speaker.

Posters presentation from Pharmaceutics Department of RIPS:
Students from 8th Semester present brief description of different Drug Delivery System & its Pharmacokinetics aspects under the guidence of Ms Sana Shafique. One student from each group explained the clear & conceptual knowledge regarding drug delivery system.
Dr Imran Khan Niazi, Head of pharmaceutics department & Sir Sufyan Usmani were invited as guest of honour. They appreciated the students effort, ask questions related to posters & encourage them to put more enthusiasm in their assigned task.

Praise be to Allah, RIPS Lahore has successfully organized the Istaqbal e Ramadan event, which included an interfaculty Qira'at and Naat Competition to honor the Holy Month of Ramadan. We feel privileged to have had Mr. Muhammad Ali as our guest speaker, who gave an inspiring speech on how to make the most of this sacred month. We extend our congratulations to all the winners of the competition, who were recognized with tokens of appreciation by Dr. Muhammad Farhan Sohail, our Campus Incharge. Let us continue to utilize this blessed month and strive towards attaining spiritual enlightenment. Ramadan Mubarak!

An intellectual and wholesome seminar organized by Ms. Zunaira Akbar and Ms. Fareeha Anwar at Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The department welcomed Ms Aleeshba Usman from skmch & RC as an honourable guest speaker to share her erudition on the topic of TPN dose calculations. Around 100 students were enlightened by attending the seminar. Students at the end of seminar were able to know the importance of TPN, patients requiring TPN, dose calculation in TPN and preparation and implication of TPN in hospital setting.

PAKISTAN RESOLUTION DAY -23rd March,1940.

RIPS department organized an event to celebrate the Pakistan resolution day. The ceremony was held in the presence of All HOD's of different departments in Raiwind Campus. National Anthem was played in the start of event. Flag raising ceremony followed by a cake cutting activity was also conducted. Patriotism feel was at its best during this whole event. A big thankyou to the incharge of RIPS literary society, Dr Fareha Anwar & Dr Ovais Shirazi & their team to sequentialized the whole event graciously.

A session on Pakistan Red Crescent and Volunteerism was arranged with Red Crescent Youth Club members in Riphah International University Raiwand Campus Lahore.

A brief introduction to the participants about the core areas and its field operations was given. First session was the introduction to the PRCS and its functions.

Main Purpose of the Presentation on Pakistan Red Crescent and Volunteerism was to educate the youth club members about What is PRCS, its different departments including Restoring Family Links, Youth and Volunteer, Disaster Management and Blood Bank and Thalassemia Center, Role of Volunteer in a society and how volunteers are the backbone of the organization.

An informative session was conducted by Mr Asad Mehmood ( Pharmacist at Australian leading group) who guided our Final Semester students in following aspect:
1.KAPS preparation
2.Visa registration process regarding Australia
3. Job prospects as registered pharmacist in Australia
4. Pharmacy practice in Australia
5. Australian Pharmacy codes & legal guidelines.
This session will surely help our students in their future career which also enhance their professional attitude towards pharmacy profession.

Students present beautifully designed & technically assembled models on the topic of communication skills under the great supervision & guidence of Ms. Nargis Saleem (Lecturer, English dept. Riphah). Pharm D programe incharges of boys & girls, Sir Athar Masood & Ms. Badarqa tul Ayesha respectively were invited as guests to evaluate the students efforts. 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions were given to the respective group (assigned topics):

RIPS Pharmaceutical Guest Lecture Series:
Our honorable guest Ms Saba Mazhar Deputy Manager Pharmacy (Training &
Development) at SKMCH&RC and Active Member of ADR scrutiny
Commitee, Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, Government of the Puniab
has delivered the lecture on the importance of TDM,Implications of TDM in Clinical Pharmacokinetics,TDM in Hospital Settings and Drugs requiring TDM.
In the end, QnA session was also held with the Students to clear their querries related to Therapeutic Drug Monitoring in Pakistan.

RIPS pharmaceutical lecture series:
A session full of knowledge regarding design & development of tablets was delivered by our honorable guest Mr. Ahsan Sabir (Deputy Manager Research and Development Wilshire Laboratories).He guided our students with the aim to share the practical issues in terms of product handling & the methods to rectify the tablet defects occured during production phase. RIPS department is highly greatful to Mr. Ahsan Sabir that he spare time to share his experience with our students.

A glimpse of oath ceremony of Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences collaboration with Red Crescent Society. This partnership will create a Youth Club in RIPS for the promotion and aiding humanitarian activities in our society.

KAPS-Australian Pharmacy Exam

Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is collaborating with Red Crescent Society to create a Youth Club for the promotion and aiding of humanitarian activities. The Youth Club members' oath ceremony shall be held at Room # 304 on 10th January, 2023.

Prize distribution ceremony was held in Riphah raiwind campus Lahore for winter olympics 2022.
RIPS super talented students turned the award winning table towards them brilliantly. Girls & boys won gold & silver medals in different sports competition.
Girls uphold the winners trophy in Cricket, Footsal, Tug of war, arm wrestling & runner up medals in Carrom, 100m, 200m & 3leg race.
Boys also won the runner up trophy in Tug of war & 100m race.
