Kashmir Day is observed every year on 5th February, which commemorates the ongoing Kashmir conflict and territorial dispute. This day signifies the struggle for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people. This day serves as a platform for the people of pakistan as well as the international community to express support for a peaceful resolution to the long-standing issues in the region.

Dear Community,

With heavy hearts, The University of Lahore's Character Building Society extends its deepest condolences to the families affected by the tragic incident that unfolded on December 16, 2014, in Peshawar. On this solemn day, we stand united in grief, remembering the innocent lives lost and the profound impact this event has had on our nation.

As a society committed to fostering empathy, compassion, and ethical values, we mourn the profound loss of young lives who were the hope and future of our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families who continue to endure the pain caused by this senseless act of violence.

In times of darkness, it is essential to come together as a community to offer support and solidarity. The University of Lahore's Character Building Society encourages all members of our university family to reflect on the importance of empathy, tolerance, and peace. Let us unite to build a society that values every life and strives for a world free from violence and hatred.

As we remember the victims of this tragedy, let us renew our commitment to education, understanding, and the promotion of harmony. May the memories of those lost serve as a reminder of the pressing need for unity and peace in our society.

SHIELD DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

On November 30th, the second day of our 2 day workshop organised by CBS- UOL x Youth Club, Speakers Dr. Asiya Madani and Sir Mugheera Luqman spoke on the topic of women empowerment and shed light on the prevailing issues such as gender equality, LGBTQ and identity crisis, in our current times, and their solutions, with references from Qur'an and Hadith. These eye opening lectures were held in praise by the students as well as the management of the University and the society for clearing out the common mistakes and misconceptions of the society we live in.

THE GREAT DECEPTION
SHIELD DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

On November 29th, the first day of our 2 day workshop organised by CBS UOL x Youth Club, speaker Mohammad Ali enlightened the students with his words. He told us about the creation of this Universe, the physical attributes and the creation of this world with references to Qur'an and Hadith. He also made us aware of the dangers, the fitna of Dajjal and prevailing fitna and the great deceptions of the current and the times ahead and how to secure ourselves from these dangers.
The Character Building Society is very grateful to Youth Club, for honoring us with their presence and delivering their lectures in our University.

Concerns are often raised about the status of women in Islamic law. Often, misrepresentations and misconceptions about how women are treated by sharīʿah are used to advance the notion that Islam is misogynistic.
To clarify these misconceptions we bring you one day workshop.

The CBS Family wishes their readers a very Happy Iqbal day. He was a great philosopher, thinker and poet who awoke the Muslims of the subcontinent and imbued a new spirit of fervour and enthusiasm.

Character Building Society has arranged a seminar in collaboration with Innovation Hub on *"Current Economic Turmoil & Riba Involvement"*.
This one day seminar will also highlight *SDG's* including Sdg 1,4 , 8 and 16 demonstrating *No Poverty* , Quality education, Decent work and Economic growth and Sdg 16 highlighting Peace, justice and strong Institutions.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Hafiz Atif Waheed Son of Dr. Israr Ahmad (late) labored on interest free financial system for years.
Serve as a petitioner within the RIBA case in Federal Shariat Court and presently serving as: -Nazim-e-A'l. A. At Markazi Anjuman Khuddam ul Quran, Quran Academy Lahore, and additionally an editor quarterly Hikmat e Quran
He is likewise the leader organizer of Quran College Lahore.
