Team Jasr is launching a new project in which we are accepting zakat as well. The proceeds will be used to buy ration bags. “Protect yourself from hell-fire even by giving a piece of date as charity.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Over the past few weeks, Team Jasr has been focused on collecting funds to aid those impacted by the pandemic. 🙌

Out of the total amount we collected, a sum of Rs.200,000 was handed over to Justajoo Foundation. We took this step considering it best to rely on their logistical expertise and ensure rations are delivered to families as efficiently as possible.

In light of the recent lockdown by the Government of Pakistan as a measure to fight against the Coronavirus, Team Jasr has decided to divert its efforts from just focusing on fundraising for Ramadan to helping those affected by this plague. 🤝

This change comes as a result of many families losing their livelihood and hence we hereby request everyone to show solidarity with them in these difficult times.

In September, we requested donations to help marry a sister in need. With the grace of Allah and the generous support of everyone, we are pleased to announce that we collected Rs.30,000.

Thereby, a few days ago on 2 November, the marriage was successfully consummated with the help of those funds contributing towards expenditure for the venue and other expenses.

A look into Jasr’s internship program held in collaboration with the Door of Awareness where our internees spent time with children teaching & playing with them. 💯

While seeing those children smile was indeed a ray of hope, it was indeed a ray among the gloomy conditions that surrounded them - the lack of stationary, tattered uniforms, suffocating classrooms.

It is our heartfelt request to buy some extra stationary this fall when you’re getting ready to go to school and among others, a modest amount for us to buy them uniforms.

Over the past few weeks,Team Jasr’s volunteers stepped up to teach children in a local school as a part of our internship program in collaboration with the Door of Awareness. 😇

To term it as a success would be an understatement - joyous beings immersed in a different world of learning should be the fate of every school’s children in the country. 💯

Our Ramadan Dastarkhan is back! 🥘

We successfully collected PKR 43000 for Sikander Ali Khan Trust as a part of our recent fundraising drive out of which we purchased approximately 180 sweaters and distributed them to students studying at a school situated 70 KM away from Lahore towards Jaranwala. ✊

We thank everyone for their contributions and support, may Allah allows us all to continue doing more for the community. ❤️

While the majority of us take the warm clothing we have been blessed with for granted, a large segment of our society suffers. 🙆‍♂️ To tackle this, Jasr is collecting donations to buy sweaters for children. 🎽
