Spread the awareness regarding THALASSAEMIA .
1. Education Sector like colleges & Universities shall play their role because they got majority of the people who ll be getting married in future so they shall know the importance of Thalassaemia Screening before marriages .

2. Auqaf ( Mosque / Madrasa) shall educate people on these topics ,
3. GP Physicians as well as Lady Health Workers shall play their role its a wake up call.

Prevention of thalassemia ¹ ²:
- *Prenatal testing*: Before birth, tests can be done to see if the baby has thalassemia or not. It can also give an idea of how bad the disease is.
- *Chronic Villus Sampling*: This test is done at the 11th week of pregnancy. A small piece of placenta is taken out for this test.
- *Amniocentesis*: This test is done at the 16th week of pregnancy. In this test, a sample of the fluid that surrounds the fetus is taken.
- *Family History*: Thalassemia is a genetic disease that is passed down from parents to children.
- *Ethnicity*: African Americans and people from the Mediterranean area are more likely to get thalassemia.
- *Lifestyle Changes*: Some changes in your life can also help treat thalassemia:
- Eat a healthy and balanced diet.
- Don't take vitamins that are high in iron.
- Pay attention to your personal hygiene.
