On 21st Nov 2023,an orientation session was organized by NAVTTC at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.

The main aim of the orientation was to get the students acquainted with technology based short and long courses.These courses are being offered free of cost and will be helpful for students to adapt themselves with the fast changing world.

Honourable principal ma'am Farrukh Bashir hoped that students will definitely get them enrolled in the courses as such training programmes expand students'skills and help them keep pace with world's emerging technologies.

An awareness raising Session on women safety app and recruitment of female assistant sub inspector in Balochistan was organized by Girls Guide Association with collaboration of police department and UN organization.
Begum Azmat Hassan Baloch welcomed the audience and thanked Ms. Ayesha Wadood and Talat for supporting the Guide.

Assistant director Mr saad akbar informed the audiance about development of women safety app. Anyone harresssed can call police station using this app.
Ms. Huma Atta, psychologist at women and juvenile facilitation center from police department Balochistan told about the establishment of women police station, day care center in CPO, creation of position of AIG gender, importance of women police in Balochistan and the recently announced position of ASI Jobs for women to apply.
The session ended with informative discussion on breast cancer as the month of Oct is observed for breast cancer and with serving of lunch to teachers and students.

On 18th October 2023, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized at Tameer e Nau College Quetta in collaboration with BBISE and NAB Balochistan.
Mr.Ajaz Azeem (Chairman BBISE)and Mr.M.Rasheed (Chairman NAB) were the chief guests of the occasion.
The winners of games from different categories were awarded with participation certificates and trophies.Members of Bad minton and Table Tennis Teams from GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta also joined the event and received their prizes and trophies as the college Got 1st positions in Badminton (Team) and Table Tennis (Doubles).
The Badminton team, comprising Mina and khadija, won 1st position against city College while The TableTennis team, comprising Fatima and Zahra, competed Jinnah Town College Quetta to be ranked Ist among the competitors.
Honourable Principal Ma'am farrukh Bashir Congratuled Ms. Sadia Jamil and her team for their successive success.

Early detection ..saves lives
To observe the PINKtober, an awareness raising seminar on breast cancer and pink ribbon was organized by Inner Wheel Club at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.
Dr. Seema from Civil hospital discussed in detail the importance of breast health and the causes of prevalence of breast cancer .
Ms.Sanya, junior scientist, gave a detailed description about CENAR hospital that works under the umbrella of Pakistan Atomic Energy Comission. She also informed the students about the facilities, services and major departments of the hospital.
Dr.Mahjabeen Marri, from CENAR, talked about the dilemma of breast cancer,its risk factors such as living style,genetics or family history, importance of self examination and early detection. She also insisted on removing the myths and taboos related to breast examination.
Honourable principal ma'am Farrukh Bashir thanked prof. ms Shahla Gul, secretary Inner Wheel Club and all the guests of honour and hoped that this session woud be beneficial as various precautionary measures for mitigating the chances of breast cancer were discussed such as proper follow up,use of balanced diet and self examination etc.
The seminar ended with Q/A session.

Related to the IT programme, initiated by Honourable Governor Balochistan, Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, a briefing session regarding opening of account was organized at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.
Mr.Syed Essa, Manager NBP Alamdar road quetta, explained in detail the process and the opening of account with minimum amount of rs 100.
Respected ma'am Farrukh Bashir thanked the National Bank administration for showing concerns and facilitating the students and hoped that such training programmes will expand students' skills and help them keep pace with world's emerging technologies.

As per schedule, the mid term exams for various disciplines of BS started at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.
While visiting the examination Hall, ma'am Farrukh Bashir urged the invigilators to make sure of 'zero tolerance policy ' for cheating.
To maintain quality of education and remove inconsistency in paper standard of different disciplines, ma'am Faruukh Bashir personally vetted all the question papers.
She acknowledged the candid efforts of controller examination and her team.

Launching Ceremony of Research Book

A programme related to the launching ceremony of first ever research book of the college was organized at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.
Honourable Joint Director Ms Saeeda Niaz formally inaugurated the event while unwrapping the book.
An overview of the different parts of the book was presented through powerpoint presentation.
The book contains five parts i-e introduction to research methodology, research summaries of faculty members of Basic Sciences and Social sciences respectively, international conferences and seminars attended by the faculty members and the research work of pass out batches of BS.
Director College, professor Dr. Kaleemullah Zahid appreciated the principal and her staff members for taking initiative as it is the first ever research book from any of the colleges .
Prof Dr.Asim Iqbal, HOD zoology Deptt (UOB), who has been among the reviewers of this book,found this as meticulously crafted.
Prof.Dr.Nazeer, Dean BUITEMS, hoped that the book would provide valuable insight for students into their research work.
Prof.Dr.Siraj Kakar was of the view that
most of the time research methodology is the most difficult task for students to counter with but after consulting this book as reference, it would be easy for them to do their research.
Ma'am Sadia Farooqi, principal GGDC Jinnah Town was much delighted as GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa has maintained its tradition of being the trend setter.
Participants of the said event suggested that this book should be included in the BS syllabus.
Speaking on the occasion, principal ma'am Farrukh Bashir thanked all the distinguished guests and said that launching of this book marks a significant milestone which shows a commitment to excellence. She also showed her gratitude for the author and co-authors of this book as they have made her dream into reality.

In connection to the 76th independence day celebrations, a closing ceremony was organized at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta. Honourable principal ma'am Farrukh Bashir inaugurated the closing ceremony.

The lined up activities for the said event included Urdu/English speeches and essays, quiz and poster making competitions.

The picturesque posters with a theme of 'paint your own pakistan' mesmerized the spectators. Even the judges were attracted by resplendent and bold colours of posters.
Students through their speeches paid homage to the freedom fighters as it is upshot of their tireless efforts.
The participants of different teams of quiz competition showed their extensive knowledge about the history and genesis of Pakistan movement.

Speaking at the occasion, Ma'am Farrukh Bashir explained that the vision behind conducting this programme was to instill patriotism and ideology of Pakistan among youth and to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs of independence while protecting the supermacy of it for now and for ever. She also thanked all the respected judges and the organizers.

The winners were awarded with cash prizes.The programme ended with national anthem.

Today on 23 August 2023, orientation took place in GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta. First of all Principal Ma'am Farrukh Bashir welcomed the student to her college. She introduced the students to the culture of the college and after that all professors one by one introduced their selves they also elaborated the significance of studies and gave an intro about their subjects.
Students were directed to comply with college acquainted rules. Which includes proper uniform, punctuality, regulatory and good conduct in college.
Principal and all college staff created a great welcoming environment which will be daunting for the students to adjust in new environment and embark on the next step in their educational journey.

It is instructed to students of FA/FSc 2nd year to attend college regularly.
Those who are not regular, their names will be struck off and they will not be allowed to sit in class.

On 7th August 2023, interviews of first year were conducted at GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta.The interview pannaled consisted of both science and arts teachers.Interviews started at 9:30 with verification of documents of students.
During interviews students were evaluated on the basis of subjects that they are going to study in F.A ,F.sc. Students were also instructed about the uniform, college timings and statutes of college.They were restricted to be regular during their classes. Interviews took place in a good ambience.
Alhamdullilah everything went well.

Independence day celebrations have been initiated in GGDC Sardar Hassan Musa Quetta first we had Quran khowani. On 5th August 2023 the last match of table tennis was played among the students of our college.This tournament was started on 2nd August and 2 girls Zahra Abdul Ali and fouzia of 2nd year qualified to final in which Zahra clean swept by 2-0. Atlast our worthy principal ma'am Farrukh Bashir motivated the students to participate more in those tournaments which will not only flourish their talent but it will keep them fit and healthy. She also congratulate the winner and inspirited the first runner-up not to give up till end.

Today on 3rd August 2023 Principal Prof. Farrukh Basheer and staff members of GGDC SARDAR HASSAN MUSA QUETTA participated in a walk along with affiliates of NAB against corruption to create an awareness drive.
The purpose of this walk was to express their opposition to corruption and to make the students aware of this evil and how to eradicate corruption in its initial stages.
