I believe next week will be crucial in deciding that if Pakistan becomes taiwan or Italy and by the look of it we all know what is coming. As the cases will increase, our already fragile healthcare system will disintegrate and you will lose someone you love.
And at that time no one will be responsible but you. You for not talking this seriously. You for making memes out it. You for ignoring all the warning. No one but you. You will be a murderer.
Why studying medicine is hard. Example 583.
There are 4 types of JAK enzymes. They are called
JAK 1
JAK 2
JAK 3
Any logical person will name 4th type JAK 4, but no. It is called TYK 2.
I am working on "Medical school of skills" where I along with others will focus on skills not taught in medical colleges.
While research, interview and cv skills, career counselling are obvious things we will focus on, there will be others. Comment below what are skills you want to learn and also if there is some skill that you think you can teach and need a space to conduct your workshop, you can comment below.
Loving all the hospitals engineers have built for humanity, restaurants letting doctors eat for free because of humanity, free tickets by planes because of humanity, book keepers giving doctors books for free because of humanity, careem walay letting us ride for free for humanity.
It just the greedy doctors who demand salary for our work. Shame on all of you, you greedy pricks. Go die and dont you dare blame your institute if you do.
This is the security situation of Civil Hospital, Karachi. Here are the two major incidents which took place in a period of two weeks and no obvious action was taken from CHK administration.
1) A robber entered the MICU of Civil Hospital, Karachi and grabbed our houseofficer by her neck and snatched her gold necklace while asking the address of S2 ward. She was alone in the ward and there was no security guard at that time. This incident happend around 8 pm on 21/9/2019. Our female doctors are unsafe during their calls and mobs like these can be serious threat to them as security given to oncall doctors is nearly none. This isn't a new story as such incidents keep happening every year and the administration is sleeping as usual. Doctors security is never given a priority by CHK administration. This could've happen to any female doctor.
2) Two weeks back a patient expired in the ICU of neurology ward and patients attendant beat the oncall duty doctors, staff and broke the ventilator of the ICU. No FIR was lodged by the CHK administration.
We urge all the PGs, HOs and Doctors of CHK to gather near MS office tomorrow i.e: 24/9/2019 at 9 am to protest for the rights and security issues of our doctor family within CHK. Long live YDA CHK...stay united...at 9 am sharp...
I have this small motivational story in my room that I often read, actually much more than just often.
A man who came late in examination hall and did not hear the word "Impossible" for the two equations written on board and thought they were just part of regular exam and solved them by asking extra time from examiner. The two equations happened to be unsolved equations in world of mathematics for over 100 years.
The man was George Dantzig. The story is also in introductory plot of Good Will Hunting. (Not many realize that even if they have watched the movie 100 of times)
The point of telling this story today is George came late in exam, didn't hear the word impossible for equations, thought it is ordinary equations and solved them. Probably if he would have heard that those equations are impossible, he would not have been able to solve it because of mind block.
We suffer from this mind block every day. 5 status parh liyay-adhay logon ko abhi say house job muskil lagnay lagi.Senior na bola hi yaar 8th semester bohat muskil hai. It is impossible to understand genetics. Yaar Pediatric ka paper tu impossible ata hai.
BU****IT. I REPEAT BU****IT.
Stop listening to this word "impossible" and you will find that you are able to do wonder.
