The Department of Zoology at the University of Education, Lahore, Multan Campus, organized a one-day seminar on “Apiculture as an emerging enterprise in South Punjab”. The event was held in collaboration with MNS University of Agriculture, Multan, and Himalayan Wellness Company, Lahore. The distinguished speakers for the seminar were Dr. Muhammad Naeem and Mr. Sami Ullah.

The speakers emphasized the significance of apiculture both as a business venture and as a contributor to the economy of the country. They shed light on its value for individual income generation and its potential for boosting the economy at a larger scale. The students showed great enthusiasm for the process, especially during the live demonstration for the setup and troubleshooting, along with its implications. The event ended with vote of thanks by Dr Muhammad Latif.

Thalassemia Awearness session and Blood camp is organised at UE multan campus in collaboration with Fatmeed Foundation.

Prof Dr. Asad Meraj Principal UE Multan campus along with Mr. Sayed Asim raza Assistant Manager Regional Blood Centre Multan and Mr. Ghulam irtaza (Incharge student affairs )distributed certificates of appreciation to the organisers of Blood camp.

A seminar entitled, “Awareness and prevention from Dengue Virus” was organized by Student Counseling Center (SCC) and ISA, at auditorium, UE, Multan Campus on February 15 2024. Dr. Unsar Naeem-Ullah (Associate Professor of Entomology) from Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture (MNSUA), Multan spoke to the audience. He served as Master Trainer in Agriculture and Health Departments of the Punjab during dengue epidemic, and delivered trainings for identification of dengue vectors (Aedes mosquitoes). The students showed good interest in contents of the seminar and had a question answer session at the end. The event ended with the vote of thanks by the coordinator SCC.

“Say No to Drugs & Tobacco”

A seminar was organized on January 18, 2024 in seminar Hall under ISA/Student Counseling Center, UE, Multan Campus. The objective of the seminar was to provide awareness to the students about issues and problem associated with the use of drugs and to***co. Dr. Rana Kamran (Assistant Professor of Zoology) shared the facts and figure related to the use of drugs in educational institutions and its impacts on academic future of students. The resource person motivated the students to help the administration in controlling and eradicating the use of drugs in campus premises. The resource person introduced the Antidrug Policy launched by HEC and shared key points of the policy. The students showed great interest in the seminar and participated in question-answer session at the end of the seminar.
