It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that the Pakistan Society of Hepatology (PSH) mourns the passing of Professor Khwaja Sadiq Husain, a founding member of the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology (PSG) and a pillar of the medical community.
Professor Khwaja Sadiq Husain's contributions to medicine, particularly in the field of gastroenterology, have been immense. As one of the finest teachers and physicians of his generation, he touched countless lives, both through his direct care of patients and his mentorship of numerous students, including those at King Edward Medical College. His dedication to his students was unwavering, placing their learning and growth above all else.
Beyond his medical expertise, Professor Husain was a man of exceptional character. He was a devout Muslim, deeply committed to the teachings of Islam, and a man of the world, known for his sharp wit, humor, and warmth. His profound empathy extended to all he encountered, from his students and patients to his family, friends, and humanity as a whole.
The PSH recognizes Professor Khwaja Sadiq Husain's legacy as one of excellence in medicine, teaching, and personal values. His loss will be deeply felt by the entire medical community and all those fortunate enough to have known him. We extend our sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
