Our Story
An infant listens to ‘Cinderella’, a school kid to ‘The tortoise and the Hare’, a lover romanticizes ‘Romeo & Juliet’, a bachelor aspires ‘Walt Disney’, a justice recites the ‘Cinderella’ to the infant, Pantalone shares ‘The tortoise and the Hare’, and an old age smiles when they overhear to ‘Rome and Juliet’. It’s a story all along the seven stages of a life, which stays, which inspires, which is shared and which is remembered.
This is a story of two individuals pursuing their degree of Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Habib University, located in the metropolis of Karachi. Farrukh finds me, ‘Hey, your shoes looking crisp’, and I am all dancing inside when I notice the moment grows awkward as he stands still, Looked at his pair, also fancy leather shoes, I complimented equally. The story is kicked off and the plot is developing; we are exchanging pictures, buying them together, and much more.
‘Yaar is ka business hi khol lete hain’ (English: buddy, let’s do a business of leather only), a random comment is lightened in the perfect air of Habib’s campus which gave it all the necessary catalysts, the culture of entrepreneurship, courage to take initiatives, mentorship by finest professors, and friends and their support. All you could and you would ask for to scale it into a fire and set it burning. It still is burning high and wide, as you read.
As it happens so, we needed a name for it! At this point, it is all about leather shoes, when we tried to capture the essence of the work we were going to do, we concluded it’s the minute details. When every individual detail is put in with the perfection at its place, the pair of shoe embraces the elegance.
