How does Affinity Library address these factors:
By introducing free libraries that are built from the community’s own collection. By asking other professionals (e.g. physicians, teachers, scholars, IT specialists, and others) to volunteer their time Involve the people directly to make Library successful by contributing there book collection at home and by providing professional skilled services voluntarily for each other. Like doctors,Teachers,scholors, IT speaclist etc. Who makes the Library
The community (neighbors) create the network of libraries. Every neighbor generously participates and not only gives donations but they are also fond of having a designated library space in their home especially for their children’s interests. How the Service Will Work
We spread our mission and invite participation from anyone who has some books in their home and wants to fulfill their thirst for reading more books. We create an environment for reading the books in a peaceful attractive area. A team of volunteer librarians will download the bibliographical data into a growing union catalog by using the Koha open source library automation system. Then we provide options for members to search the catalog and submit requests through Koha. The requests will be processed by the library staff volunteers, who will provide a courier service to pickup books from their origin and deliver to their destination home.
