A recent survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan revealed that more than half of Pakistanis claim to have experienced weight loss during Ramadan, the sacred month of fasting observed by Muslims.
The survey, which involved over 1,000 participants from across the country and was conducted from March 18 to 25, found that 56% of respondents reported a decrease in their weight during Ramadan.
They attributed this positive change to the fasting practices observed during the month. However, 7% of participants noted weight gain despite fasting.
Additionally, over 35% of respondents stated that there was no noticeable difference in their weight, while 2% chose not to respond to the question. Interestingly, the survey also highlighted that individuals between the ages of 30 and 50 reported the highest rate of weight loss, accounting for 58% of the respondents in this age group.
Fifteen years ago, Mark Zuckerberg extended invitations to five individuals to convene in his Harvard room. The purpose? To discuss a promising business prospect. Only two individuals took up the invitation, meeting with Zuckerberg, listening to his proposal, and ultimately embracing the challenge.
Fast forward to today, and both individuals have ascended to the ranks of billionaires.
This anecdote underscores a valuable lesson: when a friend presents you with a business opportunity, it's essential to listen attentively and keep an open mind. After all, seizing the chance to explore new ventures could lead to unforeseen success.

10 Most Easiest Countries for Expats to Settle.
Thanks to the rise of remote working after the pandemic, moving overseas has become much simpler. Visas for digital nomads have been introduced in many European nations to assist foreigners with residency and tax obligations.
But there are still many difficulties involved in relocating to another country. The selection of a place that fits your demands and way of life is one of the most crucial aspects.
InterNations, a global network for expatriates, conducts polls on its members. These can aid potential foreigners in learning what to anticipate from various nations.InterNations’ Expat Insider 2022 survey data was used to create a ranking of the best places to start a foreign career.
Nearly 12,000 ex-pats from all across the world responded to the study. Expat Essentials Index was utilized by InterNations, a community of 4.5 million members living in 420 places worldwide, to rank the cities.
The index considers the perspectives of newcomers on administrative issues, housing, technology, and language. This covers the affordability and convenience of housing, as well as how simple it is to obtain services from the government online.
According to a new assessment by InterNations in 2022, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Singapore are the top three nations where it is simple for migrants to settle.
List of Ranked Countries:
1: Bahrain
2: United Arab Emirates
3: Singapore
4: Estonia
5: Oman
6: Indonesia
7: Saudi Arabia
8: Qatar
9: Kenya
10: Canada
On the other side, Germany, China, and Japan are the most difficult nations for foreigners to settle in. According to the survey, this is due to both a significant language barrier and challenging digital services.

The approval of Pakistan’s largest IT park in Islamabad by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) heralds a pivotal moment in the city’s technological landscape.
Planned for a 3.3-acre plot in Sector G-10, the park’s ambitious vision encompasses a sprawling core area spanning 100,000 square feet, poised to accommodate a substantial workforce estimated between 5,000 to 6,000 freelancers.
Operating under a public-private partnership model, the Islamabad IT Park aims to offer conducive working environments for freelancers, startups, software houses, and SMEs. This initiative not only addresses the growing demand for contemporary office spaces but also fosters an ecosystem conducive to innovation and collaboration within the IT sector.
The park’s design reflects a comprehensive approach, integrating essential amenities such as research centers, conference halls, meeting rooms, and a library. Moreover, designated spaces for showcasing IT products will stimulate interaction and knowledge exchange among industry stakeholders, nurturing a culture of innovation.
What sets this project apart is its funding model, which does not rely on financial support from CDA or the government. Nauman Khalid, Member Technology at CDA, confirmed that the project will be executed independently, with ownership fully transferred to CDA after 15 years. This self-sustaining approach underscores the commitment to long-term development and signifies a departure from traditional funding mechanisms.
Collaboration with the Ministry of IT and the Pakistan Software Export Board further underscores the commitment to success. By leveraging strategic partnerships and harnessing collective expertise, the project aims to optimize resources, mitigate risks, and ensure sustainable growth.
Sector G-10’s strategic location, characterized by its concentration of universities and telecommunication companies, positions it as an ideal hub for technological innovation. The establishment of the IT park not only capitalizes on existing infrastructure but also catalyzes further investment and development in the region.
The Islamabad IT Park represents more than just physical infrastructure; it embodies a strategic vision to propel Islamabad’s tech industry forward. With state-of-the-art facilities, collaborative spaces, and a forward-thinking approach to governance, the park promises to shape the future of Pakistan’s IT landscape, fostering growth, innovation, and economic prosperity for years to come.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has made an exciting announcement, revealing plans to extend the metro bus service to another city within the province. Taking to social media, CM Maryam Nawaz declared that Faisalabad will soon benefit from a metro bus service, fulfilling a promise made by Mian Nawaz Sharif.
In response to a citizen’s plea regarding the public transport issue in Faisalabad, the Chief Minister assured that she would hold a final meeting with the Transport department today. She disclosed that a substantial fleet of 700 buses would be approved for Punjab, with a significant portion allocated to address Faisalabad’s transportation challenges.
“It will cover all important routes,” emphasized CM Punjab, indicating a comprehensive approach to enhancing public transportation in the city. Furthermore, she affirmed that these buses would operate on predefined routes with set service timetables, accompanied by established bus stops and shelters across the cities.
This initiative stems from a longstanding promise made by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his pre-election campaign to introduce the Orange Line Metro Train in Faisalabad. Under CM Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, this promise is set to materialize, albeit through a metro bus service.
Following President Asif Ali Zardari's lead, newly appointed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also chosen to decline his salary due to the "challenging times" confronting the nation.
In a statement posted on X, the former caretaker Punjab chief minister expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation as the federal minister of interior and narcotics.
He announced his decision to forgo his salary during his tenure, emphasizing his commitment to supporting and serving the nation to the best of his ability during these difficult times.
On Monday, the federal cabinet approved the granting of Pakistani nationality to the newly appointed Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb.
Aurangzeb had previously renounced his Pakistani nationality in favor of Dutch nationality. The former CEO of HBL officially assumed the role of Finance Minister after taking the oath at the Presidency. This decision holds significance as Pakistan faces economic challenges, including rising debt, low growth, and high inflation.
Aurangzeb's appointment comes as the current Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to end next month, and discussions regarding a new Extended Fund Facility (EFF) are underway.
The IMF aims to collaborate with the new government to address economic challenges and promote sustained and inclusive growth. Aurangzeb, with over 30 years of international banking experience, is well-qualified for the role.
