The Keeshond, a medium-sized spitz dog with a thick, fluffy coat and adorable "spectacles" on her face. Keeshonds are originally from the Netherlands, where they used to guard the barges along the canals and rivers. They are very loyal, intelligent, and playful dogs that love to be around people. Keeshonds are great companions for families, as they are very affectionate and gentle with kids and other pets. They don't need a lot of space or exercise, as long as they get enough attention and mental stimulation. They do shed a lot, especially twice a year when they "blow" their undercoats, but they only need regular brushing and occasional bathing to keep their coats healthy and shiny.
