🌡️💧 Dr. Shah, jako stypendysta programu PASIFIC oraz adiunkt w IPPT PAN, prowadzi fascynujące badania. Zajmuje się hydrożelami pH-responsywnymi z udziałem enzymów w badaniach nad przyspieszoną regeneracją i odbudową kości, kontrolowanym podawaniem leków, inżynierią tkanki kostnej, biologicznymi systemami polimerowymi do odbudowy kości de novo, oraz składaniem funkcjonalnych konstrukcji, które w sposób holistyczny przyspieszają gojenie uszkodzonych tkanek kostnych.
🤝 Podczas wizyty Dr. Shah wygłosił inspirującą prezentację na temat swoich badań a następnie naukowcy omówili możliwości współpracy.

Hard to believe, but it was the last networking meeting with Fellows & Families and PASIFIC Team on June 11th.

Together we explored the Royal Lazienki Park in Warsaw Łazienki Królewskie / Royal Lazienki - Old Orangery, Royal Foundry, Royal Theatre, Palace on the Isle 🏛️🫅 and admired plants and animals in the Park 🌳🌼🦚🐟

We ended the meeting with dinner and conversations continued late. It was a memorable day spent in the company of – dare we say it – not only PASIFIC Fellows & Families but also PASIFIC Friends 💙

On 12 June, the second 🔵 Networking with Scientific Community 🔵 event took place at the Staszic Palace in Warsaw.

"Interdisciplinarity in scientific research" was the theme of the meeting, which brought together dozens of researchers from various scientific institutions. PASIFIC Fellows and invited guests took part in three scientific sessions and a panel discussion led by Prof. Marzena Smol and dr hab. Paweł Malinowski, the Polish Young Academy Academy (AMU) Akademia Młodych Uczonych PAN - AMU PAN representatives.

Participants found the meeting to be a very good networking opportunity ☕💬🗨️ They appreciated the friendly atmosphere and called for more interdisciplinarity. We hope to fulfil this wish when organizing future networking events 🎯

Our unwavering support to the Ukrainian research community grows stronger as we 🇪🇺🇺🇦. The initiative is opening a new call for 50 new doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, backed by an additional €10 million.

125 researchers have already benefited from scheme, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon Europe. MSCA4Ukraine is open to any researcher who resided in Ukraine as of 24 February 2022 and has since relocated outside of the country.

New NCN Grant for Fellow Chris Hale! Congratulations 🎉

Kolejny sukces w rywalizacji o granty Narodowe Centrum Nauki ❗

ℹ Wśród 322 grantobiorców, których projekty były na listach rezerwowych w konkursach OPUS 25, PRELUDIUM 22, MAESTRO 15 i SONATA BIS 13 i w ostatni piątek otrzymało od NCN decyzje o finansowaniu, znalazł się także Dr Chris Hale ze swoim projektem MITAMBA 🔸Minijczycy i Trojanie w Środkowej Epoce Brązu: wieloskalowe sieci powiązań w północnym basenie Morza Egejskiego🔸. Projekt złożony był w konkursie SONATA BIS 13. Tym samym, oba nasze wnioski złożone w tym konkursie otrzymały finansowanie (drugi projekt realizuje już Dr Dorota Dias-Lewandowska)!

☝ Chris rozpoczął przygodę z naszym Instytutem ponad dwa lata temu, skutecznie konkurując o dwuletni staż podoktorski w ramach programu PASIFIC - Postdoctoral Fellowships. Projekt RENLORC był dla niego szansą by skoncentrować się wyłącznie na badaniach i przeprowadzić specjalistyczne analizy, które z uwagi na brak finansowania były wcześniej poza jego zasięgiem. Zaowocowało to szeregiem publikacji, a Warszawa i nasz Instytut okazały się miejscami, które przekonały go do podjęcia próby aplikowania o grant NCN, która już w pierwszym podejściu zakończyła się sukcesem.

➡️Projekt MITAMBA będzie trwał 5 lat, i w jego ramach przewidziane są dwa stanowiska post-doc.

On Friday, May 17th, Dr Monika Hejna organized a workshop entitled “Seaweeds species and their antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities” 🌿
The event featured open lectures, laboratory presentations and demonstrations. Eight-grade students from primary school of Mrokow (Szkoła Podstawowa w Mrokowie) attended and enjoyed the experience! 👩‍🏫🧑‍🔬 The event took place in the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where Dr Monika is currently conducting her project.
