PUMS Student Surgical Society is excited to announce our first shadowing session of the academic year: Vascular Surgery! 🩺 🩸

Students will be shadowing Dr. Andrzej Jawien, a vascular surgeon at our university hospital on Długa street. He has agreed to take on TWO students per session, every Wednesday in November. 🍂

These sessions are open to everyone in any year.

Our PSSS Anatomy NBME Review Week is here 🦴🎉

We are hosting a 5-day long tutoring series in preparation for your Anatomy NBME 📚

Our 5 experienced tutors will cover the 100 MOST IMPORTANT Anatomy concepts you MUST know for your NBME (and anyone studying for CBS and Step 1) 📌

Each session will cover 20 core concepts + explanations of NBME style questions. Presentation slides will be provided to you BEFORE each session so that you can follow along and annotate 📑

PSSS will be hosting a Mock Practical Exam this Friday, May 10th at 21:00 🧠

You will have 30s to answer each question. Afterwards you have the option of staying and hearing explanations from our anatomy tutors.

Join us at the Library in room 2.05 for the opportunity to simulate the exam conditions before the real deal! 💪

Make sure to bring your iPad or something to write on ✍️

We are excited to be hosting our first suturing workshop of 2024! 🎉 🩺 🪡

Our suturing workshop will be on Saturday, January 27th . Session 1 will be from 12:30-14:00 and session 2 will be 15:00-16:30. Note: Both sessions offer the same experience - the only difference is the preferred time!

Led by our experienced instructors, you will have the opportunity to delve into various suturing methods, explore different types of sutures, and practicing various knot tying and suturing techniques. Expect to sharpen your dexterity, refine your technique, and enhance your confidence in performing sutures effectively!

• If you are a novice feel free to sign up "all the way" for both sessions! The first session will be at novice level and the second will be at intermediate level!

• If you already attended one of our previous workshops you can jump ahead and sign up for the intermediate level! Check out the program to assess your level 🤓
