World-class principal clarinetist Piotr Dec joined us during an assembly and he gave a workshop to our students on the fundamentals of clarinet technique (breathing, posture, sound projection, intonation) as well as performance skills.

Mr. Dec is considered as one of the most exciting young clarinetists of his generation.

He is a first prize winner of the International Yamaha Clarinet Competition in Manchester (2018), a laureate of the first clarinet prize at the Solo Woodwind Competition, held at the Royal College of Music in London (2017), winner of the National Polish Clarinet Competition in Wroclaw (2013) and a recipient of the prestigious R.C. Wyse Bequest Award (2018).

In 2018, Piotr successfully made his professional debut playing solo Weber's Clarinet Concerto No.2 with the Milton Keynes City Orchestra, alongside conductor Damien Lorio at the Venue, MK.
