I was floored to hear, that someone who lost 2 love ones from Substance Use and another to Alcohol use. Made 2 very ugly, un called for statements.1. "Was it the drugs that killed him?? 2. And, "Oh, well considering his life style he was leading all his life, He lasted more than I expected"

To tell someone that, I am appalled beyond words!! Where do people get off on, making thoses types of comments, to a Parents or love one in grief!! I am saying all of this, to add, When my only brother died of lung cancer, someone told me, "I told him, many times to quit, he smoked like a Chimmany! Death is Death, brought upon themselves or not, it's Devastating! Learn to measure your ignorance!! Oh, and another thing, when someone's child falls in Addiction, don't tell a parent, I am glad I raised my kid right!! 😡 If someone punches you in the face, due too your stupit, ignorant hurtful comments, remember you chose in saying something ugly! Their chose or not, doesn't always mean they were raised wrong! This happens for many reasons, from peer pressure, etc...... Namaste 🙏🏽🫂💔🙏🏻

My father told me as a child (more than 50 years ago!) that every woman should learn a trade or get a degree so that she could financially support herself and her children. 'Because men come and go in a woman's life, but she'll be left behind with her children'. Wise words I have never forgot. I always had a job and financial independence.
I find it very sad that half a century later, young women still find themselves in the same trap their mothers and grandmothers were in. But, not my Mom she has always been a very independent woman. I admire her. I moved out, at the age of 17 & never moved back home! Namaste
