Those who know me know that has changed my life in a multitude of ways. If you’d have told me three years ago that I would be an instructor of this incredible form of I’d have laughed. Block therapy isn’t just about releasing facia restrictions and returning the cells to proper alignment, it’s also about releasing toxins, both physical and emotional! This creates space in our bodies AND our minds. Before Block Therapy, I had difficulty meditating. But the focus I’ve been able to develop through blocking has instilled a calmness I had rarely been able to achieve. I am more mindful and have far less anxiety than I used to. And now, I can let my spirit dance within the space I’ve created. ✨

Block Therapy: the ultimate self-care tool.

Just got back from our Blocking Superstars classes. I gave a one hour Core Class and Stephanie introduced the first of her Chakra Classes this week focusing on the Root Chakra. I have been the fortunate test subject as she refined the class, releasing much physical adhesions in the coccyx, hips and lower back. The best part for me was the emotional releases over the last three days, today resulting not in tears…at last, but in gentle acceptance and solid grounding in my focus, my goals and my deepest sweet nature. I got to look up into the green palms and bamboo soaring above our heads, catching a glimpse of an osprey playing on the updraft in the clear blue sky, as a flock of green and orange tropical parrots chattered among the leaves and branches below. Stephanie’s words transported us to our better selves, releasing our hearts to enjoy this beautiful day.

I was recently looking through photos and found these two. They remind me of fascia which is the connective tissue that holds every cell in our body together. With time, injury and trauma causes the fascia to contract. As it twists and winds, it compresses the space around our cells and pulls us out of alignment. This compression can grip with a force of 2000 lbs per square inch creating pain, misalignment and aging! The photo on the left reminds me of this process. The good news is that we can reverse this process with blocking! Block Therapy unwinds the fascia, restores space and alignment of the cells, and reverses the effects of gravity and aging… like the photo on the right. Personally, I have dramatically improved my posture, alignment, decreased the pain I was regularly experiencing, and have improved my range of motion. All through blocking!!
