O BMRG teve uma excelente participação no 7º Congresso Nacional de Biomecânica (CNB2017), realizado sob os auspícios da Sociedade Portuguesa de Biomecânica (SPB), e onde 3 dos trabalhos apresentados pelo grupo foram galardoados com Prémios (ou Menção Honrosa) atribuídos em diferentes categorias, sendo que cada categoria teve o seu próprio Comité de Avaliadores.

Os prémios, os premiados e os respectivos trabalhos galardoados foram:

- Prémio International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) para Melhor Estudante de Doutoramento, atribuído no âmbito do 7º Congresso Nacional de Biomecânica (CNB2017) a Sérgio Barroso Gonçalves com o trabalho intitulado:
“DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTIBODY-BASED METHODOLOGY FOR SIMULATION OF BIOMECHANICAL SYSTEMS USING NATURAL COORDINATES”, por S.B. Gonçalves e M.T. Silva.

- Best State of the Art Paper Award, atribuido no âmbito do 7º Congresso Nacional de Biomecânica (CNB2017) a Ivo Fialho Roupa com o trabalho intitulado:
“MODELOS BIOMECÂNICOS 3D NO MOVIMENTO HUMANO”, por I.F. Roupa, S.B. Gonçalves e M.T. Silva.

- Menção Honrosa no Best Application Paper Award, atribuída no âmbito do 7º Congresso Nacional de Biomecânica (CNB2017) a Vanessa Lopes com o trabalho intitulado:
“CONCEPÇÃO E DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UMA PRÓTESE DO MEMBRO SUPERIOR”, por V. Lopes, R. Cardoso, M. Leite, M.T. Silva, M.J. Costa e A. Castro. (Este trabalho foi desenvolvido com a colaboração com Prot. Marco Leite do IST e em parceria com o Hospital D. Estefânia em Lisboa).
