Disciplined Creativity and “Not To Do” List.🙅‍♂️🔖

Having “to do” lists feels like adding extra tasks. Making a list of habits to avoid gets the brain in subtraction mode. It’s easier “not to do” things.
Here is my “Not To Do” List

🚫📱Do not carry a phone 24/7. Developers and marketers get payed to keep you scrolling and swiping mindlessly for hours. These are proven algorithms and you cannot win. Don't put yourself in the situation of resisting in the first place

🚫⌚️Do not encourage activities with no end time. You want to be as time efficient as possible. Schedule end time to your activities can help maintain focus.

🚫💻Do not email first think in the morning or late night. Match the time of day with your skills. You want to get out of the reactive loop. Move creative activities in the morning (you have the whole day to be reactive)

🚫🧎Do not sit down to think. This can block creative energy. Take advantage of physical activities through the day to make create space for mental clarity.

🚫💯Do not aim for perfection. This makes space for doubts and fear, and you end up changing your work over and over again without progress. Release your projects to the world and make space for next ones.

Making bad habits visible will help remove them giving you have more room for creativity to happen.
