A day at Wollongong Harbour
One of my favorite paintings. You can view this work at the Sage Hotel Wollongong.
I just love living in Wollongong, I now relise that was one of the best and most courageous decisions and scary decions I had made back then.
Moving from my then cosy apartment by the water in Balmain Sydney and leaving a 6 figure income 25 yrs ago just before my 30th birthday. I was following a dream of being an interior designer and I was in a financial situation were I could, self fund my sea and career change. Its funny how life in life we asl for what we want and the universe gives us what we need, my faith in my decisions were sound but I never saw my true calling untill I during my design diploma. I was still in partially in business woman head in those study days. It's wasn't untill I excelled in the artistic side of my course and my work was shown as an example for the diploma courses fine arts module of my course by the tafe institute that I realised how much I thrived when in an creative expression. My artistic self was screaming out from then on pick me, pick me. There was some struggle around that but my boyfriend Quentin encourage me to just go for it, he believed that I had strong artistic abilities and encouraged me to follow m intuition.
I'm so grateful I did, my design studies blended with my fine arts studies, love of nature has been priceless in my selflove and earth love revolution and the finding of much beauty in darkness both mine, other and more recently with the bush fires mother natures.
Also one of the most precious gifts was initially when I first moved to the gong having the opportunity to live with my sister Kerrie Sweeney and my gorgeous two nephews. I had a family one I still hold dear to my heart today.

Enjoy the painting of Wollongong Harbour, it's a playfull rhythmic journey of mark making that reflects my morning walk and visits there mixed with my happening of how I came to be a happy Wollongong woman.

Beautiful Darkness series

Friday art work, on the easel.
I've decided to post my painting that I'm working on instead of a photograph today. This painting reflects mine and many other fellow Australian sadness and frustration, around the devastation caused to our lands , animals and native flora and forna by the recent Australian bush fires, the long periods of drought the corrupt use of our stolen water from our dams by our so called Leaders and the effects of not listening to the warning of science of climate change.

I don't have a title for the work as it is about so much dissatisfaction around theses issues, that one or two words would not express the meanings.

Maybe, you can help with that ? Help.me with a title, I know it's a little cheesy to ask but I'I'mrelly not sure and would appreciate the your ideas.

Beautiful Darkness, my newest collection of photographic prints for 2020.
This series of photographs was inspired by my recent self love and healing journey that I undertook visiting our fire ravaged towns of Manyana & Bendendalong in South Coast of NSW. Some of my favorite places on earth so far.

The story, if your up for it 🙏
I made the time to just be, to sit with the feelings and t experience the energy of this mostly blacken broken space that was being shared with me. I was there to say sorry and to listen to mother natures take on the devastation that the mankind fires bestowed on her so unapologetically. I begun by apologizing for my and our collective human ignorance believing we can play god with our ego driven greed mind sets. I didn't ask for forgiveness, I'm not sure we deserve that just yet. Have a we learned any thing ? Only time will tell.
Then I listened and allowed the energy connection. As I slowly energetically transformed into an infinate spec in the universe that I actually really am, we all are. Once tuned in to the heartbeat of the space, breath taking images revealed themselves to me, We are one and the same in some moments it's amazing stuff. Many years of living life as a creative has gifted me with the knowledge of how to let go of reality and get into the flow of the non physical energy to become one with the universe and my surroundings. Sounds weird to some I relise that. When evethingbis alingened my creativity eye views and recieves the gifts of natures secrets . There is nothing more peaceful. and connected, it's my happiest place. Except I do love sharing the the images and at my happiest . I'm am never disappointed by mother natures generosity and what she reveals to my creativity, when I take the time to honour her.
The capturing of the Beautiful Darkness images was an exceptional blissfull experience.

I will unfold our should I say post some of the images over the comming week. I hope you like them and are inspired to visit the fire affected town's and continue to donate to there causes especially the animal rescue centres.
This experienced reignited my faith in renewal and strengthened my worship of mother nature. Her resilience and spruting of new beginnings taught me w once again the beautiy in and refinement of self in new beginnings. 🙏💜🙏💜
