The makeup artist journey

The first thing you need to know about me is that I am an artist. I love to draw, sing, act and cause drama. I am a creative who is inspired and passionate about the past.

I think I’ve always loved to put on makeup. Ever since the first time I saw my mom holding the red lipstick in her hand. My mom is a blonde, so she had this ‘’bold lip’’ look all the time, with great influences from Brigitte Bardot.

I grew up among makeup products, so to speak, because I am not the only makeup artist in my family. My aunt has been a Television makeup artist for almost 20 years now and she was my first mentor ever. Free school! Lucky me would steal products from my aunt’s beauty case all the time and soon enough I was doing my own makeup every day.

The greatest influence though came later, when I discovered period dramas, especially the ones placed in 20’s, up until the 50’s. Soon enough I fell in love with 60’s, 70’s and 80’s makeup too, and now I am looking to recreate the most iconic looks from those times and make them fashionable again.
