You might've heard already about Molten Skin, 'cause I've been shamelessly promoting them these last couple of weeks and I thought it's about time to assign a face to the riffs & vocals.

The fact that the stoner doom scene is oversaturated is an understatement, so for a new band - from Romania, of all places, where the stoner scene is basically nonexistent - to make it big (well, at least as big as you can make it given the niche they chose) is hard. You have to have something special that sets you apart, you need a stage presence that would make Iggy Pop shed a tear of joy, a work ethic that would frighten any workaholic, and, as any other up-and-coming artist will tell you, you need a s**tload of money to throw at audio engineers, graphic designers, promoters, equipment and any other kind of s**t that might arise.

These guys haven't made a dime off their music yet, but their music video is more professional than a s**tload of music videos from metal's consacrated artists, their music sounds tight as f**k and they go absolutely apes**t on stage. Rockstars are born, not made, and Molten Skin proved that to me, and I'm sure they'd be just as electric and unhinged in front of 10,000 people as they are in front of 100, and thats why I refuse to refer to them as a stoner / doom band. To me, they're loud & dirty rock & roll that makes you wanna get into switchblade fights at the local t***y bar. As The Cramps might put it, "bad music for bad people". Only that the music is pretty f**king good.

So, if you're into fast cars, loose women, cheap booze and fuzzy riffs and you're not following these guys, you are missing out, to put it lightly.

The first two links in my bio are their bandcamp page where you can buy their first single, but if you're a cheapskate you can always help out by listening to their songs on youtube & all the other streaming platforms, subscribing to their channel and following them . In a couple of years you'll be able to say you've been with them from day 1 and trust me, it will be such a flex.

This is the artwork I did for debut single, out now on all streaming platforms. I'm excited as f**k to be working with these guys especially since they're from my hometown and are exactly what I've been looking for in a local (not for long) band in terms of artistic vision.
