Zero Discrimination Day🌏
Zero Discrimination Day was originally celebrated to draw public attention to people with HIV-positive status. There are still many stereotypes about this disease in society. For example, ignorance of the symptoms and transmission routes of the virus makes these people outcasts and makes treatment difficult. According to UNAIDS data, one in five people living with HIV faces discrimination in health care settings📊
The symbol of Zero Discrimination Day is a butterfly, which means a change for the better. On this holiday, people from all over the world take pictures with the campaign symbol and post them on their pages in social networks or share their stories. Hundreds of thousands of social media users have learned about discrimination against men, children, people with disabilities and other groups using the hashtag . They got the opportunity to learn something new and, possibly, rethink their attitude to things that oppress the rights of others
International Human Solidarity Day👫
This holiday was established by the UN General Assembly in 2006 with the aim of developing a culture of solidarity and promoting the concept of shared responsibility. Solidarity is one of the fundamental values of humankind, which should lie at the heart of relationships between people in the 21st century🌏
On this day, the unity in the diversity is celebrated, events are held to inform people about solidarity for each other. The holiday is widely covered in the media: articles are written about it in newspapers, special broadcasts are made on television📺
World Human Rights Day👨👩👧👦
On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since its adoption, the Declaration has become the most translated document in the world - it has been translated into over 500 languages📖
The Declaration proclaims the inadmissibility of discrimination, exclusion or demonstration of inequality on the basis of race, gender or social characteristics. Each person acquires his basic rights from the moment of birth, and their infringement is unacceptable in a civilized society🌎
In 2020, the pandemic revealed serious problems of humanity: racism, social inequality, lack of universal access to information, and most importantly, inequality of people in the field of accessibility and quality of medical care. December 10 is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of human rights in restoring peace the way we want it to be, the need for global solidarity and humanity🕊
Give a miracle for the New Year's Eve!
Any child, regardless of his abilities and characteristics, has the right to a happy childhood: family, friends, communication and development. This is possible thanks to the work of organizations involved in the inclusive development of children with disabilities (autism, Down syndrome, wd, sp). Among such organizations is the Yom-Yom inclusive center.
Inclusion enables families with "special" children not to be alone with their problems and to lead a normal life, relax, study, play, make friends and communicate. For families with "ordinary" children, inclusion gives a complete picture of the world, where all people are different, humanity and warmth of communication.
The developmental features of a child can manifest themselves in impaired coordination of movements and attention, hyperactivity, and increased sensitivity. To make life easier for the child, the center staff use simple but very useful materials:
- Headphones, simple construction headphones help to reduce anxiety and increased sensitivity to sounds;
- The balancer is effective for hyperactivity, impaired coordination of movements
- Massage ball is an amazing simulator of the sense of rhythm, attention and memory, dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
All these things help ordinary and special children to join in common activities, to be among their peers.
Let's give the guys a holiday together! To take part - sign up in the table, Lena will contact you to clarify the details.
Registration is open until December 22 inclusive.

World Compassion Day☺️
The initiator of this day was the Indian poet and public figure Pritish Nandi. The main idea of the holiday is the promotion of a way of life, which is based on the refusal to harm any living creature (human, animal, plant)🌿
The organizers of this holiday call for the fight against evil - actions should be directed not against people who do evil deeds, but against evil itself🕊
For the first time Compassion Day was celebrated in 2012 and was dedicated to the fate of animals and the importance of vegetarianism. Since then, it has been held annually, and its supporters call on the entire world to peace, love and mutual understanding❤️
World Kindness Day 🕊
This holiday is intended to show that there is such a force in the world that can resist any evil: violence, terrorism, wars, rudeness and ignorance. A good attitude of people towards each other can change the world for the better - stop wars, unite all people as one big and close family 👨👩👧👦
By doing good deeds, we make other people happier, make our world a better place. You can do good in different ways: smile at a stranger, listen carefully to concerns of your friends and family, help someone carry heavy bags or give a person a compliment. The main thing is to do it sincerely, with an open heart and a great desire to bring more kindness to our world ❤️
World Orphans Day 2020
Children all over the world lose their parents due to war, poverty, hunger or disease. World Orphans Day is set on the second Monday of November to remind the public about the problem of orphanhood. This year the event falls on the 9th of November.
On this day, everyone can do something good and make a child who is left without parents happy. Orphanages usually open their doors for visitors and volunteers, as well as arrange concerts and games for children. But now during the pandemic visits are limited, so the help of volunteers is especially needed in difficult quarantine times.
❣️We want to express our gratitude to all charitable organizations and foundations that help to solve the problem of orphanhood and help children in need. In St. Petersburg examples of these non-profit organizations are:
🌱Апрель Благотворительный Фонд - material, psychological, educational assistance to children from orphanages and problem families;
🌱МЯТА. Образование для детей из детских домов - education for children from orphanages;
🌱 Старшие Братья Старшие Сестры / Big Brothers Big Sisters of Russia - mentoring and support of children from orphanages and vulnerable families
🤝You can support these charitable and non-profit organizations financially or materially - make a donation on official websites, donate things and food, or become a volunteer to communicate with children, practice online tutoring, etc.
