If you are planning a family👨👩👧 visit to St Petersburg, you should think how to entertain your young ones. Of course you wish that your trip is enjoyable and interesting for everyone, but there is a great possibility that kids get tired and bored in museums and palaces.🤯
The good news is that St Petersburg has something for everyone! Here are some ideas of places to visit with kids.
✅ Grand Model Russia. This is a huge interactive model of the entire country, where you see cars and trains moving🚂, ships🚢 sailing on real water, night coming after day… There are also buttons which kids can press and observe little scenes of Russian everyday life played by tiny figurines.
✅ Peter’s Water Area. A similar scale model, but this time showing St Petersburg and its suburbs of the 18th century. It is again interactive, so you can see the living history in miniature.
✅ Museum of soviet arcade machines. Here your kids can not only have a look at the games played by soviet children years ago, but also try to actually play them. Let’s see who wins!
✅ Zoological museum. If your child likes animals🦧 and asks you to go to the zoo every weekend, take them to the zoological museum. There are a lot of figures of all known species, and even a few real mammoths!
✅ Doll museum. Your girls will definitely like that! There are dolls🎎 representing different periods of the Russian history, which came from various regions of the country, as well as dolls showing modern life. All of them are handmade and very exquisitely crafted!
✅ Railway museum. While your girls are enjoying dolls, take your boys to see huge steam engines, historic railroad cars🚎 and learn the history of railway industry. The museum also has some interaction for the curious little mechanics.

Dear friends
Hope this finds you well and healthy. I thought I’d send a little warm email to you to say how much we all miss you. The good news is that restrictions and lockdowns will not last forever, and the day when we will have the entire world open for us again is coming closer and closer.
I also wanted to share some good news from Russia with you. Here the restrictions are being gradually released, so very soon our country will be ready to receive guests. I have recorded a short video where I talk about this, and show how we are preparing for the revival of traveling. I hope you enjoy watching it, as I made it with a lot of love and warmth to you!
I am glad to say that we are still around and waiting for you with all our anxiety. I wish you to stay safe and take good care of yourself and your family, so our meeting happens as soon as possible!
