It pains me to see how we Africans are fighting each other, promoting hates, discrimination, and jealousy. It pains me to see the lack of support and encouragement among Africans.

In my 17yrs living abroad, I can tell you that the strength of development in most western countries is unity among the European states. The EU speaks on behalf of all EU and all their policies is based on the wellbeing of the entire EU citizens. Open trading system, Police in Sweden uses Volkswagen cars, while in Germany, France, UK the police uses Volvo cars even though they have their own car manufacturing companies. There must be competition to get the best and companies can compete against each other which leads to better product quality and cheaper prices.

Take a look at the immigration laws, they have similar immigration policies and open border for it citizens. In fact, citizens can travel to another member states just with an ID card. In crises time like the war in Ukraine, the borders were opened, a lot of Ukrainians came in and got access to their system.

Look at the entertainment industry, its free and open. It doesn't matter if the artist is from Sweden or Germany or Finland, if the music is good, they will play it repeatedly without discrimination.

For recruitments and education, the EU states give highest priorities to it members. They will make sure there is no candidate to fill a particular vacancy before they can think of bringing someone out of EU.

Now, all the above is different for us Africans.
First, the AU doesn't fully represent it members neither does the different regional blocks such as CEMAC, ECOWAS etc . We have a divided policies in trade, economy, immigration and in almost everything you can imagine. We have no open trade, no open border, we prefer to buy European products rather buying same product from another African country.

There is no competition in our industries because we prefer to buy a product base on relationship rather than quality. We prefer to give contracts to unqualify people base on relationships. Competition is good because it opens the room for research and thereby better quality.

What about immigration laws, we close our borders in crises. We treat the few refugees like slave with no access to health care, education and we make them secondary humans

What about the entertainment industry, we have people like Old Pancho Cy international from Cameroon promoting 80-20, which I believe is nonsense. I often don't listen to circular music but more of gospel music and truth be told that Nigerians are quite creative and have excellent gospel songs than Cameroon. If we want to promote Cameroonian songs, let us make it more competitive by improving the sound quality, image quality, background quality, dressing quality etc. Why would someone sacrifice his or her fun/time to listen to something he or she doesn't enjoy in name of promoting homemade? Life is short, enjoy the most of it and don't limit yourself. It is the responsibility of the artists and producers to ensure that their products are up to standard.

What about recruitment, most of top schools are for children of the rich and wealthy people irrespective they are qualify or not. What comes after graduation is someone with a piece of paper call degree but no education, no training, and no vision.

We prefer to hire white people than hiring a fellow African who can do same job. What is wrong with us???????????? This is what we call inferiority complex. We don't trust ourselves; we don't believe on each other, and we think whites are better than us.

I can hear Nigerians bashing Onana, I can hear Cameroonians laughing and mocking Osihmen. When it comes to the world of sport; we prefer to support our opponents out of jealousy. Even if Onana is under performing why bashing on him?

I stand with what is Good and will support and promote what is good.

With this mentality, we are about 500yrs away from civilization.
