Evan spills the beans on our sonic evolution, saying, “With ‘Giants,’ ‘She’s in My Head,’ ‘Under Fire,’ we realized we were slowly finding our path to our identity sound-wise.” 🎶

We’re cranking up the volume, embracing a slightly more robust sound that stems from a pivotal moment when we mixed a single for another Swedish rock band. When they turned down our mix, it was a wake-up call to level up big time! 😄

‘EXIT’ is a crucial pit stop before the grand unveiling of our album in early 2024. But fear not, we’ve got another banger and an epic video planned for the album title track. Consider this track the ultimate countdown to the album drop! ⏳ Are you ready to rock with us? 🤘

“EXIT” unfolds the tragic love story of Magdalena from a Swedish/Norwegian show, “Exit”.

Lee: “I really bleed for a woman called Magdalena whose life had been absolutely tragic.” 💔

“It’s one hell of a hard song to sing. It’s really damn high and powerful and BIG.”

“Evan called me and said ‘I got it.’ He also said now I’m gonna push you, Lee. It was also much higher notes than before.”

“I want the listeners to feel an explosion of feelings. Open your mind to it. Feel it. Let it take you to a place where you appreciate love and life.”

This version emphasizes Lee’s thoughts with more direct quotes while maintaining the essence of the initial text.

📜 Storytime - it’s time to learn more about “EXIT - When There’s Nowhere Else To Run”

Evan: This track had a different melody and lyrics for the chorus, in the first version we mixed but I thought we could make an even better chorus. I found the music very powerful and catchy at the same time, and really wanted a chorus that stood out. So… I forced Lee to sing even higher and more powerful than ever and it turned out great!

It is probably one of our more edgy tracks. More and faster guitars, very powerful almost angry vocals but still fragile in a cool way… Henrik Bodin-Sköld did a great job with the guitar arrangements! I think I leveled up a bit when it came to mix and production also! (laughs)

Regarding the chorus, Lee wrote the first version and already when we recorded it I was not 100% sure of the greatness of it. I said if it had been two years ago the chorus would have been totally ok, but now we have to level up with every little detail… So, after a few days, I emailed him a new idea I had for the chorus and we decided to record my idea as well and then decide which one to go for and in the end, we both agreed to go with the new version!

I think this is our first song we have a word in the title that we actually never sing. It is also the longest title I guess so far, but the lyrics are pretty dark and to add the word EXIT to the sentence we actually sing it makes the title even more epic and fateful.

Fun fact, this track has been asleep for 18 months before recording the vocals! We had the music and we knew we had something big coming. But back then Lee had his voice issues and therefore we let the track have its beauty sleep.”

“Will She Fight” surpassed 3 MILLION streams! Wow! This is crazy!

The song came out on the 7th of December, 2021 - it was the third song from our second album, “Saints Of Yesterday”.

“I thought of a couple that wanted to be together but life and a whole lot more came in the way of that. She moved on...” - Lee said after the song had been released. “He knew what they felt for each other so he really struggled to move on, got depressed. And the lyrics are about their story. He wanted her to fight for them. This song means a lot. Many relationships end because of a lack of conversation between the two. And many times love sucks and it breaks you completely. So if you really have it, fall for it, then work for it. Get the things you want to have said, say them out loud before it’s too late.

Usually, I do the melody but this time Evan had a killer chorus and we went with that, and then I did the melody for the verses and of course the lyrics. And it came out really good.”

During the working process, we felt, that this song was something else. Thank you for proving us right!
