The women and their families behind our bags.♥️

The beautiful craftsmanship in our bags is performed by female artisans from the countryside of Kolkata, India, to provide them with economic opportunities, as it’s impossible for them to leave their families.

We met the women behind the craftsmanship, and they invited us to their homes. An unforgettable meeting with these amazing women, connecting their skilled work to our handbags.🙏

About 80 women work on a commission basis for the factory, braiding and weaving flats.
It’s up to them to decide how much they want to work and whenever it suits them. The factory picks up their handcrafted items and manufacture the bags. 👜

We will treasure our day together and are grateful for our connection, with a bright future ahead. 🌟

The people of Sundarbans are one of the worst suffers to climate change and are already facing an increase in the intensity of cyclones, erratic rainfall, and sea level rise. Mangrove trees will not only act as a buffer against storms and sea level rise but also act as a carbon sink.  🌱🌱🌱

We have been visiting and taken part in their fantastic work school, the environment and the people who live there.
With the help of various grants, they have been able to build a school for everyone regardless of age. Over 100 children is now attending school between the ages of 4-12.
Women have employment outside the home and are educated and plant the mangrove tree.
While many of the men contribute, among other things, to digging ponds for fishing so that they become self-sufficient.

Prameya Foundations enormous contribution in Sundarbans with supporting and helping this suffering aria for the whole society, is beyond our minds. It’s so impressive what they have achieved.
