Something a little different and a bit of fun!

In the back of my mind I have had the old song "A Frog went a-Courting on a summer's day .....a humm .... a hummm..." )while painting this. Yes, I know the frog is not necessarily courting, and there is no mouse , but I think the frog and the sunshine( the blues and yellows)making appearances early on in the painting process made the connection for me....🙂

A memory painting based on our life in the outback and time spent at a couple of favourite spots......

When we are heading somewhere ...when we are on an adventure there are often things we have to do 🙂. This can easily lead to frustration for those waiting.
Far better though, is the seizing of the moment , the recognition of an opportunity that might otherwise be missed ....that might later bring regret 🌿

Christmas has come and gone but the baby we celebrate - God's son Jesus Christ , who was born to a young peasant girl Mary, came to be one of us..... His other name is "Immanuel" or "God with us" .

As we enter another year He does not go away like others might, He is not too high and mighty for us but with us as we deal with new situations.

In the sunshine and after the rain .......

Remembrance Day 2024 .....some photos taken during our time in Belgium.
We were quite overcome seeing the number of cemeteries......seemingly everywhere we looked. A land and people who had endured such devastation and who remembered with thanks those from other places who helped secure their freedom(eg see photos of Menin Gate)

Currently I am enjoying taking a lovely break with my husband Graham and my sister Libby and family. These photos are a few taken in Venice and the island of Burano over the last couple of days ....

For me, a painting not so much about "what we do" but who we are ...about being true to who we are - contented , at peace regardless of the pressures, people around us.

Flowers fill my heart with joy whether dangling on a creeper, bursting from a bud or growing in a cluster ....it's a similar feeling to a heart full of love - so much to be thankful for !
