Do you want to hold your own workshop, practice speaking in front of an audience and deliver high-quality personal development material to your fellow students and community? Apply for a workshop team member!

As a member of the workshop team you can either create a workshop from scratch, either by yourself or together with another member, or use some of the many materials we already have available. You can also get guidance and personal mentorship by another member to help accelerate your public speaking skills! As a part of the team you can also work with marketing of the workshops or logistics.

Björn Axel Söderström is one of WVI in Lund alumni and currently working as Junior Associate at McKinsey & Company. He had been involved in WVI in Lund since 2014.

Why did he think his experience in WVI matter and what did he get out of it?

"Through WVI I learned leadership. I was put in many challenging situations, and from them, I came out stronger. The ability to lead people, and to build and manage an organization, has prepared me very well for a career in management consulting.

The biggest impact WVI has had on my career is through helping me understand others at a fundamental level. I have gained the tools and theory needed to connect more deeply and authentically with people. Leadership is a lot of things - but at the core, it is about connection, and WVI has taught me how to lead from a center of values that build and maintain these strong, authentic connections."

We are part of a national and growing organization working with leadership among students and young professionals. We are dedicated to helping people develop their leadership. We focus especially on self-leadership - the art and science of knowing, managing and developing yourself.

► WHO WE ARE ◄
We are based on ideas of non-normativity. This means that we encourage everyone to find and live their own unique identity. This is a core component of self-leadership - research shows that being well grounded in your identity, sticking to your principles and values, leads to better leadership for others too. We do our utmost to invite everyone who joins us in our workshops to explore their own identity and self-image so that they may develop.

We are mainly students and some young professionals who are passionate about authenticity, leadership, and personal development. Our members came from all kinds of backgrounds, ethnicities, nations, areas of studies, and professions and everyone is welcome to apply!

► WHAT WE DO ◄
In order to create an impact on society, externally, we arrange events such as workshops and educations in self-leadership and personal growth. Examples include Happiness, Grit, Values, Stress, Strengths, Motivation, and Growth Mindset. We also arrange leadership training programs for student organizations such as student unions and nations. Internally, we have internal educations and training to develop members' knowledge and improve their professional and personal experiences as well as a lot of social hangouts.

► WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN ◄
We require a lot from you - but you get a lot too. We require you to join with all yourself, with your passions, strengths, and flaws. We require that you are driven enough to pursue your own initiatives, of course with the support of the organization and that you are not afraid of a real challenge.

What you get for all that is tremendous autonomy to pursue your own initiatives and opportunities for personal growth. We are passionate about leadership - and there are none we can help develop as much as our own members.
You will be part of a unique group of individuals that are passionate about leadership and development, that loves hanging out and discussing interesting and challenging topics. Our board member in Lund, Lonis Hamaili, is participating in the discussing on values and what young people of today want to see in their future employers. "We want purpose. Being able to grow while contributing to a greater good."

Volvo Cars and Preera talking about Sverigestudien and what values we have in the Swedish business sector. Most important? Having fun and collaborating well with your colleagues, being seen and appreciated as an individual. Also, making a difference, having positive impact is of growing importance.

Internally, we have internal educations and trainings as well as a lot of social hangouts. This week for example, we have a discussion night to freely discuss the latest philosophical ideas of metamodernism, and if it is useful or not.
