Important to trim the shrubbery! 😎😂Prepping for next Saturday 26/8! I have invited some of my favorite people and DJs, who made me dance until my feet hurt last time, old time legacy fav and who is one of the absolute best warm up Djs I’ve ever heard. This will be a techno family gathering and musical journey completely hand picked from me to you! (Nah, actually it’s for selfish reasons, I just want all my friends at the same place at the same time to great music 🤪)

Finally energy to start take care of the last damage equipment from the bomb attack. It’s been lying there in a corner, just like a big dark pile of undefined, time consuming tasks of sorting, cleaning, send to service and throwing away combined with my emotions of disappointment, failure, exhaustion and all the s**t that comes with it to handle. It became a negative spiral of losing the energy to the things that needs to be done (Covid was a big deal of that for me as well, the timing of those two events.. gaah) from the energy that you need to be able to get it done. Feels good to be myself again! 🤘😁

Boring update: I certainly have been more productive than usual, but instead of being bored I’ve filled the time with more useful activities. So creativity and productivity wise it was a win, but learning to manage being bored.. not so much 😅
Since I had two purposes with this challenge I still feel really pleased, it’s been a great day and I prefer my mind reading books than doom scrolling.

I love to share my dj philosophy, so my poor friends came to learn how to mix two tracks together, but got an additional 2 h session in the handcraft and art of mixing, how to find your own personal expression, how to distinguish a good dj from a bad and in and on and on.. 😅
Would love to hear your own insights in what makes a good dj for you, or something you learned or realized that made a big change in your own work? For me, to understand how fear of failure limit improvisation was one. Improvising is my key to the intense flow and presence I want to achieve when playing, to really be my best and have the most fun!

First, real day back in the studio after the bomb! It looks amazing, with the new panels and equipment! goal for today is just to connect everything, see which cables I’m missing and hopefully have first listen after fixed the acoustics! 🤩🤩

I love the creative challenge in a good warmup set! I’ve been jumping around all day and getting in the mood to live djs sets. 🤘🤘then when it’s time to prep, I dig I nto my own crates, go down a few BPM and pick the tracks where my emotions take me from there😄 hopefully it will feel right also when I come to the club.
For me it’s alway a challenge to navigate emotionally since it’s such a huge part of how I play, even if I have more tools in my box today. if I feel the atmosphere in the club doesn’t resonate with what I feel it can really be a struggle. Would love to hear your best tricks and challenges when warming up! I’m pretty sure there’s plenty 😄

Looking forward to have my video set streamed for the South American ! Apparently I look both like Morticia Addams and Maleficent, so no wonder my techno constantly drift to the dark side. 😈😅

I plan to video record my set tomorrow (event link in bio or fb page). I bought the Zoom Q8 for the plug and play features, but quickly realized the streaming functions are waaay below what a regular smart phone can produce. At home I really need the live setup to get into the mood BUT what if I can get better at recording all gigs with video? 😀
