A six-meter sofa from old fishing nets!
Using recycled materials can be challenging, but very rewarding when succeeding. This lounge sofa was printed using our ABB robot extruding old fishing nets from the west coast of Sweden. The color is the original green color from the nets.

When you really want something, you do what it takes.
One of our danish customers fell in love with our prototype office wall and decided to have the three-meter high piece up on the top floor, using a crane.

Get creative!
3D printing is evolving rapidly. We love to be in the front, developing new designs, recycling processes, and manufacturing tools for the future. Like these radiator covers individually designed to fit the different windows of an old house.

Bumpers from Volvo and VW turned into furniture!
Together with Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Group, and several entities in the automotive industry, Sculptur has managed to transform obsolete bumpers into design furniture using large-scale 3D technology.

A car consist of about 20% plastic. Every year, around 200,00 end-of-life cars are sent to a scrapyard in Sweden. In addition, approximately 600,00 cars are involved in accidents, which means that car parts must be replaced. All in all, a lot of plastic material from cars is only recycled through energy recovery, ie through incineration where the energy is recovered.

Each piece of furniture is provided with a QR code making it easy to tell the story, but also find information about how to recycle the 100% recyclable furniture.

Partners: Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Group, Motorbranschens Riksförbund, Din Bil, If, RISE, Stena Recycling, Jönköpings Bildemontering, Bils Sweden, and Sculptur.

What to do when you can't find the perfect terrace table on the market?
Roger Berliat in Switzerland made a simple sketch to Sculptur and described what he wanted. In just a few days later, the table was printed!
That is design on demand :-)

Another order of the Reform chair completed! With additive manufacturing, you simply print what you have designed – without using any molds. If you are not satisfied, redesign your CAD and print again. The first product from Sculptur was the REFORM chair. This masterpiece was designed by Jurij Rahimkulov and catches the eye with its beautiful curves.

It became such a success that we decided to spin off a company dedicated to market the furniture collection: Reform Design Lab.
Nowadays we have come up with a simple way to color our base materials cheap and in pretty much any color.

Material: UPM FORMI + black pigment

And the winner is.....ABB.
We love challenges. When leading technology company ABB ask us to create a price for their yearly announcement of best-performing partners, we came up with a 3D printed loving cup made of recyclable material.
But, we don´t expect the price back for recycling. It´s too beautiful.

Material: Stora Enso Durasense
