Created using the coiling method. Strips of clay stack a layer at a time and trim to the shape of a pot.
A highly emotionally charged piece of work, as numerous cuts were made onto the clay body and stained with textured cobalt glaze. This is made with terracotta clay, which is dark red/brown in colour.
The rim of the pot comes with a slighly irregular finishing.
Scratched, then stained, suggesting some kind of movement, dance or even grass dancing with the wind.
Height: 18 cm.

Auspicious Cloud-祥云 Created using the pinching method, slowly pinching a lump of clay into a vessel. Black glaze on the interior. The top of the pot comes with a irregular finishing. Decorated with a series of oriental clouds, giving off an auspicious and earthy vibe. Height: 15.5 cm.
