LCT has invested in the commissioning of a complete metallurgical laboratory here at our Singapore facility. The investment has been made to enable us to further support our customers in the region with the preparation, analysis & testing of both thermal spray & laser clad samples.

This set up will complement our turnkey laser cladding facility here in Singapore allowing us to not only clad customers samples but also supply a complete report and overview of the powder, process and application.

HighLight DL HP Series
Coherent HighLight™ DL HP series products are high power (3 kW to 8 kW), fibre delivered, industrial diode laser systems that offer unmatched convenience and economy for metal processing applications such as large-area cladding, heat treating and brazing. Ease of use in HighLight DL HP lasers is enhanced because their reliability, conduction-cooled diodes do not require deionized cooling water. Additionally, these lasers support plug-and-play fibre exchange by the user, and their web interface enables simplified access and control through any device with a web browser.

A wide range of options and accessories are available for HighLight DL HP series products to provide flexibility for integration and to facilitate their use in a variety of settings. For example, climate control of the laser enclosure allows operation in high humidity environments.

Free-Space Direct Diode Laser Cladding Systems 10kW

What is laser cladding?

Laser cladding is a surface modification technique, whereby a deposit overlay technology which uses a high power industrial laser to melt / weld material onto a substrate creating an overlay with true metallurgical bonding.

The laser cladding process, which uses laser heat to deposit an alloy addition onto a substrate, results in a full metallurgical bond with a small heat-affected zone and minimal dilution. Laser cladding dramatically improves surface wear and corrosion, increases the lifetime of critical parts, and can also be used to repair damaged components to better-than-new condition.

Laser cladding and is used in applications such as engine components in the motor industry, turbine blades in the aerospace industry and hydraulic cylinders in the mining and hydro industry and is a leading solution for the replacement of hard chromium plating globally.

In addition to the demonstration, we will offer training, testing and integration support for our existing and new customers.
