Again for this week's topic on Shoulder Endurance is our HIIT Trainer Clar!

Here's what she recommends to improve YOUR shoulder endurance!
(1) Mountain Climbers
[A more indirect shoulder exercise]
- Go down on a high plank position and make sure your shoulders are directly above your wrists!
- Stay on your tippy toes
- Go slow for the core burn or as fast as you can for the cardio! 🔥
(2) Shoulder Taps
- Similar to Mountain Climbers, start from a high plank position, and make sure your shoulders are positioned directly above your wrists!
- First, bring your right hand to your left shoulder, keeping your hip in a neutral position with LITTLE TO MINIMAL sway!
- Repeat for the other hand and go fast! 🔥

Here's what Clar recommends to improve YOUR stamina!
(1) High Knee Runs
- Ensure you go light on your toes and bring your knees as close to your chest as possible!
- Don't underestimate this exercise as it uses an expected amount of your core strength as well as your legs! ✅
- For that extra burn, straighten and hold out your hands at shoulder height! 🔥
(2) Burpees
- This is an exercise which engages your full body!
- Be it a half or a full burpee, try going as fast as you can for 30s/1min and let your heart rate shoot 🆙! 🔥

Here are some tips we recommend for you to keep in mind if you're ever caught in an altercation! 🥊
[Disclaimer, we do not advocate the usage of Boxing or any other martial arts outside of a supervised/ controlled area.]
(1) Blocking and keeping your hands/ forearms close to your face
- Good in scenarios where you may have someone swinging wild punches at you ✅
(2) Footwork is always key in any self-defence scenario!
- Maintain a good distance from your potential assailant!
- This means that you will have a wider view of your surroundings, and possibly more time to react.
- Being out of punching range also means that you can avoid getting sucker punched! ✅
