Planning your first Hackathon? Well, here is our experience that might help! First things are always special. It was our first hackathon at Mauna in collaboration with Think Future Technologies (TFT) and the experience and insights gained from it were truly mesmerizing.
Who says remote Hackathons 🤖 can't be fun!
It was lovely getting to know Think Future Technologies (TFT) team and working with them closely. You guys rock 🎉😻
A glimpse from our Hackathon Week!
Using Mauna's conversational AI APIs, Think Future Technologies (TFT) team was able to pull together 3 solutions:
1) HR Policy Bot - used Mauna’s TopicClassification, Paraphrase, QA , ConceptNet APIs,
2) Learning Assistant Bot - used TopicClassification, QA APIs,
3) Evaluation Bot - used QA, Measure Similarity APIs
Despite the obvious challenges of a remote Hackathon, it was truly an invaluable & insightful experience. Had an amazing time!
Finally, the day has come we all have been waiting for - Our First Hackathon 🥳
Mauna & TFT have come together to work on 2 themes - Building a HR bot & a Learning Assistant bot.
It would be interesting to see the result when Mauna APIs and TFTs business logic will be combined.

Grandson: Well Grandma, you already know and use Facebook & WhatsApp. What if I tell you that a chatbot is your virtual assistant that can read out posts/messages for you, create text and send it in your group, share your memories with your friends, remind you of important dates & events and a lot more. It can also do a little chitchat with you and keep you engaged while you drink coffee.
Grandma: Is that a man or a machine 🤔
Grandson: hmm…somewhere in between 🙃
