Volunteering as a Career Advisor at World Skills Asean 2023 I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer as a Career Advisor at World Skills Asean 2023. It was an eye-opening experience for me, as I was able to speak with many young adults about the hairdressing industry. I was surprised to learn that many of these young people had never considered hairdressing as a career option. Even though everyone needs to get their hair done regularly, it simply never crossed their minds that they could actually make a living from it. I was able to share my own experiences as a hairdresser, and I hope that I inspired some of these young people to consider hairdressing as a career choice. I believe that there is a great demand for local hairdressers in the near future, and I would be happy to give talks to schools or other organizations about the opportunities available in this field. I am also very open to collaborating with other organizations that are interested in encouraging our citizens to take up hairdressing as a career change. I believe that this is a great way to upskill our workforce and meet the growing demand for hairdressing services in Singapore.
