CTC Singapore returns with round 2 of the Go Green Challenge! 🙌🏻 Effectively Reducing Waste, Reusing Purposefully and Recycling More (3Rs) is our goal for this year.

In collaboration with susGain , Y Art Project and Ground-Up Initiative (GUI) , our employees were empowered to embrace sustainable practices in their personal and professional lives through fun and engaging team bonding sessions. The activities were designed to raise awareness and enhance the understanding of the 3Rs.

Although the campaign has ended, the knowledge gained on the 3Rs and eco-living spurs us to continue to reduce, reuse and recycle efficiently! 🌍♻️

In conjunction with CTC Global SG incorporation day, 30th August has been dedicated as our SDG day 🌍

To make it extra special for CTC employees this year, we spent the day out at Ground-Up Initiative (GUI)e , getting closer to nature and connecting with Earth, all at the same time learning about sustainable living.

The Farming Team rolled up their sleeves, toiled in the hot sun and muddy grounds harvesting edible vegetables that includes Lettuce, Mustard, Kang Kong and Bananas. In just one morning, 45kg of vegetables were harvested and it was blessed to Touch Community for their meal’s preparation for the less fortunate.

While the other group – the Craft Team worked together to upcycle discarded wood from wood pallets and turned them into a beautiful garden bench decorated using pyrography.

After a morning of hard work, lunch was served from Just Dabao where they worked with eateries in selling the unsold surplus food in time to reduce food wastage.

With this, we ended our SDG event on a holistic and meaningful note. It was not only a learning journey on sustainable living, through hands-on experience it also imparts a sense of giving and gratefulness, to the little things that we often take it for granted day-to-day.

We are delighted to share that CTC Global Singapore’s corporate football team Roaring Kitsune FC will be participating in Football With A Heart 2023, Singapore’s largest executive football charity fundraiser!

📣 Come and show your support and cheer for our CTC SG team! Join us tomorrow, 12 Aug (Sat) from 9am to 1pm at the National Stadium.

Football With A Heart is an executive football charity fundraiser co-organised by Singapore Pools Football Association of Singapore, Sport Singapore and supported by Tote Board with Singapore Sports Hub as the venue partner.

All proceeds will be distributed in support of Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT), FAS Cares, iShine Cloud Limited, Lions Befrienders, Make-A-Wish® Singapore, Playeum and SportCares!

Charity events have always been a wonderful opportunity for CTC to give back to society. One such event that we have been involved in for many years is the SPD Charity Golf, and we are extremely delighted to have participated in this meaningful event once again this year.

Joining in the golf friendly at Seletar Country Club was our MD, Masafumi Nakayama and CTO, Peh Swee Hong who swung their clubs together with other like-minded guests.

As a platinum sponsor, we are honoured to receive the certificate of appreciation from the Guest-of-Honour, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Eric Chua. And a big thank you to SPD Mr Abhimanyau Pal & Mr Yeo Teck Guan for inviting us to be a part of this journey to transform the lives of people with disabilities.

The 13th WorldSkills ASEAN (WSA) Competition was hosted by Singapore for the first time ever, with the competition seeing top youth talents from 10 ASEAN member countries competing in 22 skill areas.

Apart from the competition, this event also featured an interactive Education & Career Guidance (ECG) exhibition to promote skills and promising skills-related careers and we are honoured to have been invited by the ECG Sub-committee to be a part of these activities as a partner.

Anticipating a huge turnout of over 10,000 secondary school students, 6,000 PSEI students as well as the public, the event gave us an opportunity to connect with youths and the public to raise our company’s brand awareness and career opportunities as well as to provide early exposure and promote our industry.

Thank you to our Business Coaches and Apprentices who joined us in sharing with the students on their apprenticeship journey while showcasing their projects to engage the crowd. A big thank you to everyone who has supported us in this event.

🌳 The CTC Global Singapore Go Green Challenge is back for another year! 🌳

Launching the challenge once again was the founder of susGain Carolin Barr, who shared about the importance of recycling while also making aware of the various green initiatives in Singapore, and green habits that everyone could participate in.

When the new and improved susGain Impact app was introduced, the staff were glued to their phones albeit for a very good reason to participate in the sustainability challenges and to officially kick-start their green journey.

As we continue taking steps to transform our workplace and home into a greener place, we would like to invite everyone to join us in this journey to make a difference too! 🌎

Climate change is a global challenge. With the aim of changing the future for the global good, we embarked on a mission in FY22 to fight climate change, and to rally all employees to participate in sustainability efforts together as One-CTC. In collaboration with susGain, we launched a series of campaigns and activities to engage, enable, encourage, and exemplify sustainability habits among employees to do their part to build a sustainable future.

Throughout the journey, we learnt the importance of being sustainable and how a simple act of practicing zero waste can benefit the environment in the long run.

CTC Go Green challenge may have come to an end, but our daily eco-friendly routine continues, such as using reusable utensils and bringing our own reusable bags. It has become a part of our daily life!

We believe with proactive changes from you and me, a better world and a greener future can be created. 🌍

And playing with heart is exactly what our football lovers in CTC did as we went onto the field and spent a purposeful Saturday morning at Football With A Heart (FWAH) 2022, which aims to raise funds for the community and less fortunate through a friendly five-a-side tournament! ⚽️❤️

Next stop of our Go Green Challenge 2022: Beach clean-up at Pasir Ris with the Ocean Purpose Project! 🏝

In just 2 hours, we collected bags of plastic carriers, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, metal cans, styrofoam and glasses fragments, adding to a total of an estimated 120kg of trash. To reduce those waste, we further sorted and washed an estimated of 30kg plastics for fuel conversion!
