VITSOE system. Mr. Fixit were called upon this house to install for them this system.

We showed them how to installed the shelf and cabinet for one section, after which they wanted to fit it themselves.

Good for them.

Mr. Fixit and team was tasked to cover the TV that was mounted to the wall.

We need to mount a big picture across the wall. We need to drill 2 holes in the marble wall without cracking it. We tried our best with all the necessary precautions.

The final product. The marble wall did not crack, but there are 2 holes for the mount. If in the future they want to remove the picture and cover the holes, we can do it too.

How nice does it look?? Nothing of the toilet tank is visible. All you see is the push button added bonus, there are more room to place your toiletries.

However when something is spoilt, you have a very small opening to do the necessary replacement.

Mr. Fixit did it successfully.

Sometimes, we need to let go of the old and bring in the new, a whole new set.

This client of ours, insists on just replacing the bulb holder instead of replacing the whole set of light.

As we can customise our services to suit our client needs, we provided her with what she wants.

Curious, we asked why just change the holder only instead of the whole light fitting as the charges are almost the same. She answered not the same, in changing the whole light fitting, when the lights go out which it will after sometime, I have to wait for people to come and change. If I use the bulbs, I can do it myself. I’ll be independent.

She have really thought about it.

It was a basin faucet replacement they said, it would be quick they said but from experience, we know with this kind of design set up, there are always room for surprises.

This is one good example. The owner will not be able to see anything, hence it all looks nice.

Issue only come up when you need to replace the faucet. Owner called a previous plumber, he came and tried to change it, the told owner that it can’t be change, with lots of other major works to be done to replace the faucet.

The owner called us, we tried to replace it, using the tools available, but it was impossible. As you can see in one of the photos, the opening for the hose and to tighten the faucet, is small, after the hose goes thru, you can’t put in the tool to loosen it up.

The only way was to remove the whole basin just to replace the faucet.

Do you think the design was a conducive one?? So let us know. We are interested.

This tenant decided to install a water filter in the kitchen, the owner wanted him to make sure the hole is covered when he left the unit.

We were engage patch the hole to a similar colour, design was not necessary.

Unfortunately, we can’t remove the round marking left by the filter faucet.

Whoever installed the faucet, screwed it a little too tight.

There is a first time for everything. A client wants us to install for him a wall hanging desk which is called droptop. We have not heard of it before, he knew our capabilities and he trust us that we will do our best to install it.

After doing the installation, we were surprised as to how simple and elegant it was.

Wow

Another vitsoe shelf system.

It is a great and simple system. Very clean and versatile.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 08/08/2024

This is supposed to be a simple tow way tap replacement. The owner wanted to do it himself, he tried to open it but it can’t be open, Mr. Fixit were called in to replace it.

Usually with this kind of set up, it can be open without the need to remove the cement.

Well this is not one of the usual case.

We had to chisel out the cement.

After the installation, the owner told us not to cement it or silicone it as it is the back toilet no one use it so if he need to replace it in the future he can.

Completed.

Here is something, this condominium is relatively new, it is about 10 years old.

This light is now not working. It is supposed to be a simple change of light, unfortunately this kind of light is no longer available in Singapore. This kind of pin bulbs are no where to be found.

We have put in the efforts to look for it but cannot be found. Don’t know why the previous ID choose this kind of lighting.

Oh well, we hop you guys learn something. Nowadays, most lights are LED, and most LED cannot be dimmed.

This time Mr. Fixit and team was called upon this house to replace its vent fan. It stopped working. After checking and troubleshooting it, we found out it was spoilt. It needed to be replaced.

We placed in the order for it, after about a week, we got the item, we replaced it.

A very tight space to work on.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 29/07/2024

Hi guys sorry for the long hiatus. We are back now.

We will start with something simple, which most should be able to do.

To replace a shower hose, usually the hardest part would be the 3 common length to it. 1.2 meters, 1.5 meters and 1.8 meters.

Usually the 1.2 - 1.5 meters are use for bidet spray,
1.5-1.8 are usually for shower head.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 14/12/2023

We were informed by the owner, that this handshower holder was not proper installed in the first place, the hook, keep dropping. They called the previous installer back to do it, till he gave up and don’t want t to do it anymore.

Then we were called in to solve the issue, upon closer inspection, we found out that there are parts missing, since we cannot locate the part, we advise the owner to replace it.

This client, have literally children who likes to play with the wardrobe doors.

One day while playing, it was a little too rough and they broke the hinges.

Mr. Fixit was called in to fix the new set of hinges back to the door, as the hinges are broken, plus the wood needed to be repaired.

After we are done with it, it was like brand new door. That was the comment that was given to us by the client.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 11/12/2023

Mr. Fixit was tasked to replace this light switch. This is a very old light switch, maybe over 30 years old, you would not be able to get this light switch anymore.

With such a space constraints, an no colour coding for the wires, it set a different set of challenges.

We replaced the light switch.

Floating cabinets looks nice and clean.

Provided it is mounted correctly and do not over load it.

This cabinet was overloaded, the back of the cabinet, came off the wall.

Mr. Fixit was called to rectify it before the cabinet fall down.

We get the proper mounting, and mount back the cabinet.

This aluminium grill are pretty sturdy, long lasting, one of the reason is that aluminium is a metal that does not corrode.

Well usually the weakest link would ruin it.

The screw that attaches to the aluminium grill to the window frame is made out of metal. That my friend will rust, like here in this instance. It rusted so badly, the screw broke.

The grill was hanging dangerously.

They contacted us, sent us the pictures, we understood it. We came and we solve it.

This vintage/antique Chinese style cabinet is owned by this wonderful lady, she have a huge dog, which can be quite playful sometimes.

This one time, when the dog was running it slide and hit the key to this cabinet, causing it to break and the door cannot be locked.

As she already know us, she gave us a challenge to fix this cabinet so the door can close and stay close, does not need to lock.

We tried to get the locking system, as it would be nice to make it like how it was. After spending some time in locating the lock, we could not find any.

Hence, we use another method to ensure that the door stay close, when it is pushed closed.

We found something that fit in well with it.

What do you think??

Mr. Fixit was called upon to put together this beautiful garden furniture, it is a swing, that can transform to a swing day bed, by unlocking the back rest and wahlah. It becomes a daybed.

Lucky this swing is a flat pack, like ikea, we brought the swing up to the roof and installed it there.

We can’t carry it upstairs when assembled.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 23/11/2023

When you purchase something online, you may not get a full ikea style instructions manual.

She would like to try to do it herself, but she decided to call us instead.

Here is a VERY BIG THANK YOU VERY MUCH for those who attempted.

Mr. Fixit was called upon this house, the tenant, mentioned that the toilet was experiencing an uncomfortable shower due to the lower water flowing which was due to the water saving feature of the shower mixer previously installed. She was hoping that we could maybe increase the volume or flow faster.

We came in, we saw it, we operated it, here is the answer.

It felt very odd the way the mixer operated?? We thought. For normal shower mixer, you pull the handle towards you, this, you push the handle to the wall. Which does not give you a full opening of the water valve.

We removed the handle, exposing the cartridge, we operated it again, this time, it felt normal, even the flow and volume of water felt normal.

We turned the handle around, refitted the handle and operated it and walah, it felt normal importantly, it was a comfortable flow of water.

We fit back the skirting plate, as properly as we can.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 16/11/2023

Can any of you spot the difference or error in the photo provided??

Answer in the comment please.

It would be nice if I can find out if any of you tried.

The story and the answer, of this would be out Monday @1130.

Mr. Fixit was called in to install this vitsoe system. The owner bought this system second hand, lucky for us, the previous owner gave him the placement drawing, help us with the measurements and placement of the system.

As they say, not all walls are built the same. The previous owner had a flat wall ceiling to floor. This new owner, does not, the top beam protruded out. Hence this owner would have to have the system lower, the new owner accepted it.

Since it is just shelving and storage, it is alright. If it is the table, it may not work as well.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 09/11/2023

Mr. Fixit was tasked with the installation of ceiling light, the whole light is glass and quite fragile.

We took care of it as much as we could and we installed. We were very much under a close watch of the owner.

We appreciate the input the owner.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 06/11/2023

When wrong screws are being used for door handles, it would look nice and well unfortunately thru time, it may not be able to serve its function correctly,

He is one of the time, the client thought he was stronger than the door handle.

Mr. Fixit were called it to settle it,

We put up the new and correct screws for it.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 02/11/2023

Mr. Fixit and team was called upon this house, who have bought an extension for their Vitsoe system.

Unfortunately this delivery ran into some problems, which made it a little bit more challenging for us. The boxes were damaged and because the boxes were damaged, the instructions were lost too.

With 3 different drawer systems to assemble, with everything mixed up and no instructions manual. Lucky for us, we were shown the picture of how the assembled drawer would looked like.

It took us some time, but we complete it. The client was very happy.

Sometimes we surprise ourselves too.

Thank you to our clients for trusting us.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 30/10/2023

Sometimes due to wind blowing the the blinds, it put tension on to the cable, hence pulling the screws up, constantly doing that can cause the screws to be pulled up.

Mr. Fixit was called to secure it in place.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 26/10/2023

This client, is someone who have done his homework, well.

He knows what’s needed to get the job done.

It makes it a little easier on us to explain, how the work will take place.

He wanted to have a power point at his coffee bar counter, he knew where is the nearest power point, he was not sure, if it can be done without much modification to the coffee bar or the surrounding.

We came, with the manpower and necessary tools, we got it done.

He was very happy with the results.

We are glad that he is happy.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 23/10/2023

Mr. Fixit was asked only to supply manpower to replace this main door lock mechanism.

Our client have bought the item.

Since it was the exact same one with the same fitting, we did the replacement, easily.

Photos from Mr. Fixit's post 23/10/2023

The power of technology and understanding of what’s available, this client of ours wanted to have a vent window for their cabinet door, they took the picture of the cabinet door, drew the squares on the picture and told us this is how they wanted it.

We showed them what’s available in the market, that we can get, they agreed.

Since they cannot have the cabinet door removed for few days, for the cut to be done elsewhere, we had to do a cut there.

We protected what needed to be protected, after the cut we clean up the area.

The final product.
