On a Sunday morning that began ominously, three matches had to be called off due to bad weather. Over in the west, one game was given the all clear to kick off, and thankfully it did. The first 7-7 draw in Sports4U’s history as Jyoto 91 and Green Spine FC shared the spoils. Over in the east, a match that several parties probably wished hadn’t taken place. Kicking off without a full squad, with one team down by four after only fifteen minutes. Ill discipline, a lack of sportsmanship and a rush of blood to the head resulted in pretty ugly scenes towards the end. Unfortunately, the drama spilled over and we now find ourselves moving forward with the rest of the season a team short. With all that’s been said, we’re all very thankful that the player at the end of the shocking challenge is on his way to what will hopefully be a quick recovery.

Akatsuki kicked off their season edging another thriller, this time in a best of five. 3-2 against Kampung Batu FC who record their first defeat of the season. Elsewhere, Fallen Asteri got three points on the board with a convincing 7-1 victory over Kaizoku FC. Kaizoku FC now without a point to their name this season, but they will surely see better days.

Toa Payoh United and Papadum FC made their Sports4U debuts with the former the happier of the two as they came up 4-1 winners. Rounding the matchday off, were Senshi FC, also Sport4U debutants as they were beaten by E’Valor at home, by three goals to one. Till the next one boys!
