Day 2 is the last day of Together-Gather, which means it's the last day of CPA 6 program!

In the morning, we headed to Perdana Botanical Garden, KL for our SEL session. Our time was spent with reflection activities, personal conversations and mini appreciation speeches. We ended our program by distributing certificates and having photography sesh 📷

We wanted to appreciate every single one of our amazing participants for your commitment in CPA 6! We wish you the best for your personal development journey :)

Together-Gather ! 🌱🍃☘️

After three months of executing the environmental community projects, participants finally got to meet with each other (24-25th September) with the facilitators during Together-Gather (TGG) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year, we have participants from Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines. We had so much fun on Day 1! 🤩

We attended the Taman Tugu - Free Tree Society Nature Education Programme. The session started with a planting workshop, followed by environmental solutions talks about water scarcity, composting and waste reduction, and ended with a brisk jungle walk featuring conversation about ecosystems and climate change. 🍃 🌳

In the evening, we conducted participants' home-run presentations @ Uplus Space. Every participant was given the opportunity to talk about their environmental projects implementation and their personal reflection throughout their CPA journey. 💫

Day 1 was such a thrilling yet pivotal experience for us. Stay tuned for Day 2! 🥳

Chili Padi Academy is a volunteer-based organisation that aims to facilitate transboundary collaboration to solve complex environmental and social challenges in Southeast Asia. We do so via our flagoship environmental leadership and accelerator programme for senior high school students in the region that nurtures a community of environmental leaders invested in collaboration and healthy development of SEA.

We are hoping to find 1-2 individuals per country, who will be directly contributing to the shaping and the rollout of CPA 6. This is a little belated, but we thought to share with you some of the things we accomplished in 2021, as a way for us to celebrate as a community our growth and struggles as an organisation.

Throughout 2021, we decided we would not have accelerator this year, and instead we focused on trying to improve the sustainability of the organisation. From growing the team, to doing 2 external engagements (which we have never done before!), we were challenged and stretched in many ways but nevertheless very much supported by people within and external to our tight knit community. We are grateful and blessed to share all these memories with you, and we hope you’re ready to welcome 2022 with more exciting memories with us (something exciting is coming soon!) 🤫💖

Hi everyone, happy middle of the week! 🌱

Wanted to share something of the things the core team has been up to! In the early weeks of December, the team organised a trio of workshops on the fundamentals of Sustainability, Problem Tree Analysis, and Design Thinking. This was a part of a youth-SME sustainability consulting programme, sustainab, organised by the Youth for Sustainability (YfS) team. In this virtual programme, like-minded Singaporean youth seeking exposure in the sustainability field are equipped with skills and knowledge to support Small Medium Enterprises in their sustainability journey.

Along with the opportunity to expand our circle impact and bring sustainability education to more youths, this also gave our own members the opportunity to learn and grow in confidence in facilitating such engagements. Said Putri (ID): "It was a great learning experience for me to share about introduction to sustainability!!! I was pretty much in awe when they can comprehend a great understanding of the material in a short amount of time, I hope what they learn can be a basis foundation for their next step in entrepreneurial industry. ❤️ "

We hope that the participants had a meaningful session! Thank you to the YfS team for being such cooperative and supportive organisers and partners.

CPA has also been venturing into the new territory of conducting paid engagements on concepts relating (and adjacent) to sustainability, on top of our yearly Accelerator programmes.
