Introducing Yashika Aggarwal, the final artist featured during Red Week of the "Reborn: Motherhood" exhibition. An abstract artist and devoted mother, Yashika left behind a decade-long corporate career to follow her passion for art and yoga. Her work transcends the ordinary, delving deep into emotions, thoughts, and ethereal energies, all while exploring the limitless imagination of motherhood and the transformative power of yoga and meditation.
Her featured piece, The Womb, reflects the sacred process of creation in Indian tradition. The red oval symbolises the womb, while the yellow centre represents the life force that nurtures new beginnings. Through vibrant textures and layered details, the artwork captures the emotional and physical transformations of motherhood. As our judge noted, âAbstract relies on the ability of stunning visuals to engage the viewer to start a conversation with the art. This piece has some of that effect.â
Though Yashikaâs week has concluded, you can still get in touch with her directly if youâre interested in purchasing her powerful works. Be sure to visit Mama on Palette Community Space to discover more inspiring artworks throughout Singapore Gallery Month, running until 28 September. Book a private tour now!

"My work reflects the relaxed beauty and strength of motherhood in the Mosuo tribe, where women lead and the community supports child-rearingâa reminder for busy mothers to take a break and enjoy bonding with their children," says Woo Yuan Yuan, whose art is a gentle homage to this unique matriarchal society.
Inspired by the Mosuo tribeâs carefree way of life, Yuan Yuanâs art pieces capture the essence of communal motherhood, where women are often seen relaxing, singing, and dancing with their children. Her work encourages modern mothers to slow down and embrace the beauty in the simple, meaningful moments of motherhood, rather than being consumed by the stresses of daily life.
For those who feel a deep connection to her message, Yuan Yuanâs pieces offer a calming reflection on motherhoodâs balance of strength and serenity. Visit Mama on Palette Community Space at 254 Outram Road to experience her work firsthand and discover the inspiration behind each piece during Singapore Gallery Month, running until 28 September. Sign up for our docent-led tour now!
As we continue with the "Reborn: Motherhood" exhibition, Clarissa Maskiloneâs Brain, Heart, Guts, Pelvic Floor Muscles series stands out as a deeply personal exploration of the inner strength and resilience that motherhood demands.
A multifaceted artist whose work vividly reflects her journey as a woman, mother, and self-taught creator, Clarissaâs art captures the mindset, courage, and inner power she summoned during a time of self-doubt and transformation. The series blends hand-drawn motifs with digital techniques, creating a harmonious representation of the mental and physical elements that sustained her.
Judge Howie Lau praised Clarissaâs work, stating, "Good use of analog and digital. Brave use of white/space to create breathing room around the 4 subjects."
Contact Clarissa to seize the unique opportunity to own one of her pieces, connecting deeply with the emotional and physical journey of motherhood. Through vibrant reds and serene tones, she explores themes of love, resilience, and sacrifice, reflecting the strength and grace found in motherhood and womanhood.
Her portrayal of the Devi as a mother embodies this balance, showcasing both beauty and resilience. Bhagyaâs art highlights the journey of new beginnings, unwavering love, and the quiet strength required to navigate lifeâs challenges. Each piece invites viewers to connect with the deeper essence of femininity and motherhood.
Howie Lau, Managing Partner of Corporate Development and Partnerships at NCS Group, described her work as a "naivety-laced approach towards creating this lush landscape of intricacies."

As we conclude Red Week at the "Reborn: Motherhood" exhibition, we want to take a moment to spotlight the incredible work of all participating mother artists from Mama on Palette. The first one being Babita (Babs Creative Art ), a Singapore-based abstract realism artist whose pieces beautifully reflect the resilience, strength, and transformative journey of motherhood.
In her artwork Resilient Spirits, Babita offers a heartfelt tribute to the mental wellness and quiet strength of mothers. Through intricate layers and gold accents, she brings to life the emotional complexities of motherhoodâjoy, sacrifice, and vulnerability all woven together in a rich visual narrative. Her piece Take on Me celebrates authenticity and self-expression, using vibrant reds and textures to depict the power of embracing both the challenges and beauty of motherhood. Finally, Change in Me, a cubist-inspired piece, reflects Babitaâs own rebirth as a mother, exploring the unpredictable yet profoundly fulfilling nature of the maternal journey.
Alan Koh, Director of Affordable Art Fair Singapore, praised Babitaâs work, saying: "Touching story of resilience, and what the artist has gone through. The artist also paints exceptionally well, despite being self-taught."
These stunning artworks are available for purchase, providing a unique opportunity to bring home a powerful reminder of motherhoodâs depth and beauty. If youâre interested in acquiring one of Babitaâs works, feel free to contact her directly.
While Red Week has ended, the exhibition continues as part of Singapore Gallery Month until 28 September. We look forward to welcoming you to experience more inspiring works in the weeks ahead.

We had an empowering and insightful session last Saturday as part of the Artists to Artpreneurs 2.0 masterclass series, titled "Curating ART Inside Out." Claire shared her incredible journey of transitioning from a 20-year corporate career to taking on diverse roles in her family business, the arts, and as a dedicated mother.
Our participating artists gained valuable insights into the vital role private museums, such as The Private Museum, play in the arts ecology. Claire also highlighted the transformative power of collaboration, demonstrating how working together can be a catalyst for growth in both personal and professional spheres.
One of the key takeaways was the importance of curating the best version of ourselves by building resilience, prioritising physical health, and making time for self-care. Claireâs story of balancing multiple responsibilities while navigating the challenges of raising a special-needs child truly resonated with everyone in the room.
We left the session inspired and equipped with practical strategies to unlock our inner strength and continue growing in our own journeys. A heartfelt thank you to Claire for sharing her wisdom and experiences with us!
In our recent Artists to Artpreneurs 2.0 masterclass, "Turning Art into Fashion," we explored the intricate journey of transforming art into wearable fashion.
Anseina Eliza, our Vice President and the creative mind behind ANS.EIN, shared her insights on blending contemporary style with timeless elegance. Her award-winning sustainable fashion, inspired by art and culture, encouraged our mother artists to channel their creativity into profitable ventures.
Participants received a bespoke start-up package to help them create their own fashion brands. Like ANS.EIN, which began with a single design and grew into a diverse collection, Anseina encouraged all aspiring artpreneurs to start small and progress with each step.
This masterclass was a valuable opportunity for mother artists to blend their artistic passion with practical, wearable expression, opening new revenue streams. Weâre excited to see how theyâll apply these insights in their own fashion journeys!
